17 to 18

I just bought some new 5 spoke 18 inch wheels on craigslist to replace my worn out 17inch steel rims and tires. Has anyone done this swap out? I was told I need ball seat lugs and my conicle type will not work, so I have to find some ball seat lugs now. These tires seem a lot taller and wider, why do the Titans have different size wheels? Do you think I will have any problems swapping out the 17's with the oem 18's?
