18" to 17"

What problems if any would I encounter if I just swap out my 18" LE stock wheel for the 17" stock OR wheel. I currently have 265/70/18 and the 17's have the 285/70/17 so the tire dimensions should be pretty close to the same. Is there any problem just switching them? Any input would help.
Thanks

Re: 18" to 17"

As long as the overall TIRE diameter is close, and the lug nuts required are the same, you're good to go.

Re: 18" to 17"

You would be surprised as to how tall a tire the BFG O/R tire is? They are also fairly fat, so they ride on top of sand well. The load rating is good compared to other sizes of Titan options. My XE switched from the stock steel wheels with no problems.
