No flame, just answers please!

Hey,
I know there are negatives but, I want to know what you guys think.
I am thinking of installing 2in. spacers to make my 17in. off-road wheels to stick out to be even with my fender flares. I know you guys will tell me to just get new wheels. I need tires soon and $1500.00 is my budget. Does any one know where I can get a tire and wheel package for my budget?
Thanks!!

Re: No flame, just answers please!

i dont think they make 2 inch spacers for a titan. and you couldnt get the lug nuts back on the stock wheel, or a nut that would fit down in the wheel

Re: No flame, just answers please!

No one seems to recommend spacers.

For $1500 for tires can get you some good rubber for sure.

I have the BFG AT/KO's for less than $1000.

Save another $500 and with the $500 you saved on tires, get some AR's...the backspacing could add an inch or two outward to your front/rear profiles...

I'm not flaming, but WHY do you need the wheels to come out further?

Buy yourself some nice looking Moto Metal 951, 9" wide rims with a 4.5" backspacing, (-12mm offset for a 9"), and find some cheap take off tires until you can spend another $1000 for new tires. Btw, the 951s are available in both black and bling! And if you like black they are only around $140 a piece so you can maybe get new tires.
Moto Metal Series 951 Size =17x9 Bolt Patter = 6x5.5 Offset = -12mm Finish = Black

Oh, borrow a sawzall or grinder if you don't have one, for the "pinch-weld mod" ... 'cause you're gonna need it. Very, simple looking mod though.

That kind of a budget, it's gonna be hard to find wheels and tires. You may need to look at something used. As far as the spacers, just don't it. Save your money and do things the right way.

Re: No flame, just answers please!

These will work.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...9436927&rd=1,1

And at $600 for the set, you still have $900 to buy some wicked rubber. Should fit your budget just nicely.

Oh, and I know the auction has ended, but the guy has a store. Just go to his online store and he lists all kinds of wheels. Plus he keeps relisting these every few days.

Re: No flame, just answers please!

To most of you guys, thanks for the honest input and help!

To those (kartman) that think I am trying to be a poser, I am not. I just think my truck looks funny with the tires sitting almost 2 inches inside the fender flares. I want chrome wheels because my truck is the Sedona color and I do not think black would look good.

What is the deal the the 'No Fear' wheels. Will they fit with a 285/70/17.
My truck only has the 2in. PRG spacer.

They have tires on them but the tires that have wont fit a stock truck.
