I bought some new wheels and tires all mounted. I have the TPMS on my current stock wheels but the new ones wont have the sensors installed. Is this going to be an issue? Will it give me a low pressure reading all the time?

I don't know about that! I ran over 90mi. with my racing wheels on the rear of my truck friday night and they do not have the tpms in them and i never got a lo pressure light. Now with all stock wheels with the tpms in them i can go 35mi. and the light will come on and all tires have 40psi in them.
STRANGE!!
hmm anyone else know what the deal is? I hate to have to either buy more sensors and remount the wheels or take apart the stock wheels I was going to keep for spares.
It tool a couple of weeks for my light to come on after changing wheels. When it did come on was during a long drive (about 1 hour). Now it flashes when I first start the truck up for about 30 secs and then stays on.
I'm getting some new wheels and tires set up but will be installed next week, the shop went ahead and removed my sensors to install on my new set and put in some rubber valves on my stock rims, I thought I would have a TPMS light stay on the whole time but the light never came on.
