2006 2WD XE Brake shudder

I don't know if this has been discussed for the 2006 models but I had to bring my 06 to the dealership where they turned all my rotors. They said this was the proper fix since the 06 had the upgraded brakes. The truck has 16k miles. My friend bought his 06 on the same day and his started shaking too. His is an 06 4X4 crew cab xe.
