2005 OEM Tires - No Good - Need Replacement Tires Advice
I have had terrible luck with the OEM tires on my 2005 Nissan Titan Crewcab SE. I certainly don't want to use the same tires as a replacement. Can anyone recommend a good replacement?
I mainly drive in town and occassionally pull 2 different light weight trailors.

I second the AT Revo's. The stock BFG's wore out for me way early. I put a set of Revo's on, and they have been great for over 10,000 miles.

As you can tell, I am in the same boat as you. I am really leaning towards ordering the Revos on-line. Good luck...there are some alternatives out there for the stock 18's.

Revos are way better. So much so that when I traded the '05 in on the '08, I specifically made them switch the Revos from the '05 to the '08. They only had 5000 miles on them, and I don't have the stomach for another set of the no traction Goodyears in the winter.

This weekend, I drove down a 2.5 mile gravel road. On the way back, about a mile from pavement, I got two simultaneous unrepairable flats. Stranded. The recovery was a long story, but let me just say that the Conti-nental Conti-tracToRs (the factory tires) conti-SUCK. Off highway at least. Don't buy them as replacements if you ever plan on going off pavement.
I wanted all-terrain tires and bought the Toyo Open Country ATs from Les Schwab. Pretty much the only 18-inch option within a 300-mile radius.

I just put Destination LE's on mine to replace the stock GY SRAs I had....started going to crap at 25k but replaced at 31k....I've had them on for about 3 weeks now and I've noticed quite a difference already...no more spinning in wet weather so they seem to grip alot better than the SRAs ever did so no worries from me anymore....got them for $150 per but I already saw Firestone online quoting them at $140....they're the same tire at Bridgestone, just different badging...not Revos but still a good tire.

Re: 2005 OEM Tires - No Good - Need Replacement Tires Advice
It took me 2 months to decide on new tires, since the OEM Gdyrs suck. Traditionally, I'm a BFG A/T guy, but tried the Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revos, due to all the positive feedback on them. These are the best tires I've ever owned, by far! I changed from OEM size to 275/65R18 for thicker appearance and love em! These tires have an aggressive look and I did not have to sacrifice the smooth/quiet ride. They are a bit pricey, but well worth it. Also, rated very well in mud and snow. You will not be dissappointed. I will send pics if you want, long as I can figure out how to do so.
