Im in the market for a new set of rotors and pads. I've done a little bit of searching and reading and wanted to get some opionions on cryo treating. I tow regularly and thought cryo treating the rotors might give me some better performance and longer life. I thought of maybe getting the powerslots and cryo treating them. What say you?
Heres how it works: Cryo-treated means sub-frozen until the molecular levels change and the rotor becomes more resistant to warping and usually lasts about 3x longer. I, personally, have used the frozen and the powerslot. the powerslot is MUCH better in my opinion.
I think there are a couple of places that will Cryo any rotors you send to them. I think the ones I found online were in california. Google it and see.
Spencer, do you have any links to either of these type rotors??

Now I've heard slots weren't nearly as good as cross drilled. But it looks like only pre-cryo'd rotors are slots? I'm guessing cryo'd slots would be better than cross-drilled non-cryo'd? I just find it odd that if cross drilled were that much better why they would offer slots instead.

Am I off base?
As with anything, it all depends on what you are using them for, your driving habits, climate conditions, etc. And even with all that, you will still get hundreds of different opinions. Sooo.......your guess is good as mine.
I believe this is the brand available at the Tirerack, as well....
Thanks Black Booty!!
