Terra Grapplers pricing

Why is there such a big jump in price when you go from a 305/50-20 to a 305/55-20? It's only about an inch difference in height right? On this one site it is $231 for the first vs. $293 for the other, meanwhile the toyo a/t only jumps up $18 from one size to the next?

Re: Terra Grapplers pricing

Could be a supply and demand thing?? 305.50.20 are made by everybody and their mother, there aren't as many manufactures (or mothers) making the 305.55.20.

Re: Terra Grapplers pricing

That could be true, there doesn't seem to be a lot of people here that run the 55 for the grappler or a/t they all seem to go for the 50 but isn't that actually a 1/2 inch shorter than stock?

Re: Terra Grapplers pricing

the 55 series is an LT tire meaning it has a longer tread wear because of more ply.
