fabtech lift/will factory wheels work?

I have a 6" fabtech lift on my 2006 nissan titan. I am tired of dealing with the tracking of my truck due to the width of the tires/wheels. Will factory wheels with 35"x12.50 tires work? If not does anyone have any suggestions as to what is the best setup to run?

Yes, they should work. A 13.50 tire, probably not though.

Re: fabtech lift/will factory wheels work?

Forgive me for what could very well be a "doh" question, but what would the wheel be hitting?

Re: fabtech lift/will factory wheels work?

not a bad question carb, can't imagine what factory wheels would hit/rub against on any type of lift kit .... 12.5 on factory wheels will work just fine mire

Re: fabtech lift/will factory wheels work?

There is no concern with the wheel hitting anything. The tires will rub the spindles though if you go too wide. The manufacturer's of the lift kits designed them to work with factory wheels.

Re: fabtech lift/will factory wheels work?

Well thanks guys for the replys. I was told by 4 wheel parts that the rim would hit the spindle. Does anyone know what the back spacing is on our factory wheels?

Depends which wheels you have? SE/LE or XE/OFFROAD. I believe there is a difference.

Re: fabtech lift/will factory wheels work?

I am looking at buying some 18" wheels that come off of a SE. What do you think?

Re: fabtech lift/will factory wheels work?

Yes, the wheels will work, however I have heard stories of stock 18's with 35x12.50-18's or equivalent rubbing the Fabtech spindle though.

Re: fabtech lift/will factory wheels work?

so what's the fix? wheel spacers? I can't seem to find any tires skinnier than 12.50 in a 35

what about running 17" factory wheels? they have a backspacing of 5.5" and fabtech says 5" of backspacing is recommended?
