Cheaper Tires

I have needing to replace my OEM tires and was interested in a cheaper route. Can a 2006 Titan crewcab handle a smaller tire or rather the smaller tire handle the titan. I was thinking of going down to a 17" and all season is fine with me I don't need AT tires.

Re: Cheaper Tires

Does your truck have the 18" rims? Tires are sized like this:
285/70 R17

The first set of numbers refers to the width of the tire across the tread.
The second set is the aspect ratio it refers to the height of the sidewall.
The R__ is the rim size.

You can play up or down a bit with the first two numbers but the third can't be changed.

Going cheap on tires can cost you more in the long run if you're not careful. Make sure you get tires that are rated to the loads you tow or haul, and don't get less than you need.

Re: Cheaper Tires

Tires are the one thing you don't want to be a tight *** on. $10-20 more per tire usually will get you at least an extra 10k worth of miles. Whatever you decide, DON'T replace them with the same Wrangler SR-A's.

Re: Cheaper Tires

The best tire I could find for the money was a Cooper ATR.

Kumho KL78's. Best bang for the buck I could find. 10k miles and they're holding up much better then my stockers.
