Question Lug Nuts for 18" SE Style Wheels Needed to replace Lugnuts for 17" XE steel wheels

I recently purchased 18" Nissan Titan SE style wheel to replace the XE steel wheels. When the shop mounted them they informed me that the lug nuts are different for these styles. They mounted them with the XE lug nuts but told me to check them after a few miles to see if they were working loose. My question is "Is it neccesary to purchase the SE lug nuts or can I get by with the XE lug nuts?

The lug nuts are the same. I had a 2004 XE with steelies, switched to QX56 wheels and now have a 2008 SE. The lug nuts are all the same.

Well the stealies come with different lugs than the alloys. The alloys have "acorn" shaped nuts like this.

The stealies came with nuts that have a flange (not sure if this is what its called but its flat on one end.)

Dont know if you will have any problems running them like you have them now (steel lug nuts on alloys). Im guessing it would only be a problem if you tried to run alloy nuts on the steelies since they wouldnt catch as much wheel, not the way you have it.

Holy cow spoonman, you're right. I stand corrected.

I forgot about the little flange washer thingys. They worked fine for the QX56 wheels plus there was a center cap that covered them up. They should work on the SE wheels.
