BFG A/T KO and MPG

I am wondering if anyone has run into this and if it could be my cause of lower MPG. about 3 months ago put new BFG AT's in 285/65-18 on my stock Titan, noticed afterwards MPG went totally downhill, i mean it wasnt that great to begin with 15mpg but after i had the tires put on it went to 12mpg. I realize the new tires are heavier, but are they that much heavier? Just wondering

The new BFG AT/KO's weigh in at 58 lbs.

The Goodyear SRA's weigh 33 lbs.

I'd say you would notice a difference...

I did!

Re: BFG A/T KO and MPG

I average 13mpg around town w/ my BFG AT's 315/70/17. Have an exhaust and intake though so that might help offset the extra weight a little.
