-12 offset

I found the wheels I want but the offset is -12 and dude advised me that they would stick out about 2inchs from the wheel well. Does anyone have pics of -12 offset wheels? Would this offset look like **** on a leveled non-lifted truck.

-12 offset hmmmm ... On an 8" width wheel it would have a 4" backspacing. Stock SE and LE '04-'07 were 8" with a 5.5" backspacing, so they stick out 1.5" more than stock.

8.5" w/-12mm offset have a 4.25" backspacing so would stick out 1.75" more.

9" with -12 offset is 4.5" b.s. and would stick out 2" more.

Depending on the tire diameter, you might need Kartman's Pinch-Weld-Mod. I read about a member needing this with 17x9" Moto Metal 951 with 4.5" b.s. and some Nitto Terra Grappler LT295/70/17 (33.3" diameter).

Re: -12 offset

mine are 17x9 -12... 2" sounds about right. I may have pix somewhere... it's in my sig. it looks good with a leveling kit imo.

Re: -12 offset

The wheels are 20's and they are 10" wide. So this would make them stick out much farther. The only way would be to go to 18's which are 9" wide. I really like these wheels though.(Helo 791 Maxx6) Yeah I look for those new pics.

Re: -12 offset

10s would be 5" of backspacing ... so out by 2.5" more than stock

Re: -12 offset

If I went with the 10' is possible to do less than 5' of backspacing? I really dig these wheels.

If the offset is -12mm on a 10" width wheel, the backspacing is 5". Less backspacing would require a different offset, (also less backspacing means the wheel is a deeper dish, so the edge of the wheel sticks out more).

With a level kit and 33" tires you would be better off with a backspacing a little larger than even stock's 5.5", like maybe 5.8" b.s.. That way instead of the rims sticking out 2.5", they would stick out 1.7". But you wouldn't want too wide or knobby of a tire though, because you might rub the steering knuckle.
