smooth riding tires?

Anyone have experienced some smooth tires on the pavement in 35's? I have the mickey thompson baja ATZ E load. They are pretty harsh, and knobby, but they look great though. Any recommendations?

Re: smooth riding tires?

Give the Toyo M/T's a try - they're amazing.

My Titan is my DD and my commute is 30 miles each way, and I'd buy these tires again in a heartbeat. VERY smooth for a M/T, and only a little bit more noise than stock.

I'm looking at the 33/12.50's, are they that bad?

Re: smooth riding tires?

For a 20" x 9" rim? ...
Your Avatar looks like you're running 20s to me anyway.

Some of the ATs in a 325/60/20 D rated look like your best bet, (especially if you do have 20s).
  • Pirelli Scorpion ATR
  • Kumho Road Venture AT KL-78
  • BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO
  • Toyo A/T
  • Nitto Terra Grappler
First three can be read about here.

Re: smooth riding tires?

Just got some bfg km2's and love it. Hardly any road noise compared to my terra grapplers.

Re: smooth riding tires?

I would stay away form any M/T tire...
I have the Nitto T/G's and they ride nice.

No, those were BFG MTs and they got louder and kinda vibrated more as they wore down.
