Low tire light

I jsut got new wheels and tires. And I have a few questions. Ist I went from 17" to 18" will this affect my truck 2nd the low tire pressure light will not go off. Are the sensors in the tire and if so can they be removed and reused. If not how do iget the light to stay off. It is a 06. thanks for any help.

Re: Low tire light

Are you going from street tires to off road tires? What about the rim? Are the new tires wider, taller, heavier?

Going from a 17 to 18 will make very little difference if the overall diameter and type of tire is the same. It's the combination of the type, width, diameter, and weight of the tire and the weight and offset of the rim that will make the overall difference.

The sensors can be moved from the stock rim to most other rims but it should have been done when the tires were mounted. Until they are properly installed, the tire pressure warning light will not go out,
