Revos vs Toyos vs Firestones

Ok, I know this subject has been beat to death many times but I'm gonna beat it a little more. I've done countless searches and read through mountains of reviews and I still can't make up my mind. I'm needing to replace the stock Good for a Years and I've narrowed my choice to either the Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revos, Toyo Open Country A/T, or Firestone Destination AT. I've read good and bad about all three. I'm looking for something that will look aggressive, handle good, be quiet, and wear well. They'll be going on the stock 5 spoke SE wheels. Please help me decide...I'm going crazy over here lol

Re: Revos vs Toyos vs Firestones

I just put on the Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revos last night. They replaced the Goodyears. All I have to say is WOW. Only have 50 miles on them but they are a huge difference over the GY SR/As. The thing that sold me was that Bridgestone is offering $100 back (thru May10th) on the Revos AND Firestone offered their lifetime alignment for $110, normally $160. After looking at the mechanics report on how bad my alignment was off, I think it will be worth the money. (a few have said on here that the Revos tend to be sensitive to alignment issues, more so than other tires) I got all that for $830 out the door (discounts included).

What size tires do you have?

Re: Revos vs Toyos vs Firestones

I had the revo in a 265/70/18 and it looked very skinny on my truck. The tread width of the revo is only 7.8" vs 8.5 on the stock goodyears. The difference was very noticeable to me.I now have the toyo's and they ride as smooth as glass on good roads but you feel every pebble in the road.I have no idea what I'll try next time.Lol

Re: Revos vs Toyos vs Firestones

The Revos do look a little smaller, but they are awesome tires. Not only do they have the $100 rebate, but at my local shop they were doing a buy 3 get one free. That made my Revos (with warranty) $537 out the door. Hard to beat that.

Re: Revos vs Toyos vs Firestones

revos are great and well worth it. as far as them looking "skinny", on my off-road TITAN, 285/70/17, they look just as wide as the stock bfg.

get the revo and you wont be dissapointed.

Re: Revos vs Toyos vs Firestones

You cannot go wrong with the Revo or Toyo. My experiences with Firestone tires have always been bad for some reason so I don't like them at all. I just visited my uncle last week outside Chicago and he has the Cooper Discoverer STT's on his Ram and he really likes them, especially for the snow and muddy farm fields that he has to drive through.

Re: Revos vs Toyos vs Firestones

I have the destinations and after being on them for a while, decided that they are complete junk. The wear on them is horrible.

They do look as wide as stock in the 17's but the 1/2" difference in tread width on the 18's is noticeable.

Re: Revos vs Toyos vs Firestones

ive had the revos for a few months, and i love them. they dont look skinny on my truck, and they look much more aggressive than the stock goodyears. i dont regret them one bit. and im sure my next tires will again be the revos.

Re: Revos vs Toyos vs Firestones

I have about 7k on my TerraGrapps and I see very, very little wear so far. Those Toyo's should last well as long as you keep it in good alignment.
