Need Confirmed Verification that 17" Wheels

I need proof positive that 17" wheels will not work on a 2008, specifically a 2008 4x4. NissanUSA shows all newer models with either 18 or 20 inch wheels. But the earlier models came with 17's. I know we had brake issues in the begining, trying to use a Fronty brake on a 1/2 ton is stupid. I also know the new rotors are "supposed" to be too big.

Can anyone Confirm this without a doubt? As in you have actually tried on a set of 17's and the wheels just plain won't clear?

I WANT A/T's at a price cheaper than a weekly fill-up. LOL

NO ! ! ! !

Not the answer I wanted, but thanks for the clarification. I guess I might as well keep the 20's.

Re: Need Confirmed Verification that 17" Wheels

It's true... There's a thread here where a member took the '08 brake components and installed them on his older model truck as a brake upgrade. He found he had to run at least the 18" stockers to clear the calipers.

But!!!

There are a few exceptions to the rule!!

I have seen where certain 17" wheels have fit....1/8-1/4 inch clearance!

A lot too close for me!! LOL

EDIT:

Oh yeah, the wheels were ugly also!! LOL

Thanks for all the input, but I had belts showing so I put new wrappers on the 20's this morning.
