Smile Cooper tires

well folks, I bought Cooper tires for my truck after looking and pricing tires. I looked at Bridgeston Duelers H/T and the Revos, BF Goodrich. These tire are running about $170 to $185 per tire. Someone here suggested Cooper tires so I look online and found the new Cooper Discoverer CTS. I went to a local tire shop and priced them @ $163 per tire and all 4 installed for $733 which includes a nice military discount from the owner of Weber tire These tire run nice and smooth, the handling is nice and very quite tire on the hwy. www.coopertires.com

Weber tire in Bristol Wisconsin? What brings you up north?

Cooper seemed like a nice tire. Hard to find tire reviews on Cooper, which is what held me back. Please give us an update after a few thousand miles.

no Weber tire in Fairfax VA. This place has been around since 1947 and I grew up down the street for them

Re: Cooper tires

I bought the Cooper Discovery H/T Plus. They look good but I don't know if there out of balance or if it's the new wheels but the steering wheel has a bad shake that I didn't have before and get worse at higher speeds. I need to take it by the place but I haven't had time. I had it aligned shortly before I put new tires on. Overall for the price of $660 for four 305-50-20 I can't complain. Hickory, NC Jeremy

Glad you like them. I bought the REVO ATs recently and could not be happier. I paid more. But, they are the best rain tires I have ever had (and boy do we have rain in FL these days).

Cooper makes a great tire though. You'll be happy with them.

check and see if that wheel was put on right. sometimes these people who put on wheels use an impact wrench and cause the wheel to be on crooked. 180 out the wheel and use a torque wrench

Re: Cooper tires

i've got coopser discover atr on my 04. I replaced the stock OR tires around 40,000 miles. The truck has over 100,000 miles on it now and the tread barely looks worn.

Take it in and ask them to "Index" the tires. That should provide a better weight balance on the wheel. If it's done properly, they won't need to use as many weights to balance them out.
