couldn't find the weight on Grapplers on nittos site*edit-some site said 75#s on the mud grappler same size, anyone know?*, but the Toyo are 80#s. there was a guy selling 35x12.5x20 Toyos locally for almost exactly the same price as Mud Grapplers so price is irrelevant... Also what kinda miles would I be looking at for either one? I've heard Toyos last a long time, and they definitely look nicer next to my wifes car. cause I have some Toyo proxy race tires on there, not the normal cheap crappy ones either. but bought them with the rims so I just so happened to get them from a guy with an SRT-4 who is a speed addict, he also has a Blown Cobra and a hummer same color as my titan w/black 20"s or 22"s and some street bikes and stuff.. owns a stereo shop that's how I know him anyway, just trying to find out which to get. I think my rims will be in tomorrow or friday so I want them mounted/balanced and on the truck asap cause I don't like driving it otherwise since selling the other rims/tires it looks guess I can post more pix of the rims since it's a new thread
anywho, mostly looking for weight on the Mud Grap to help me decide if mileage will vary alot. and how long do they normally last I'm sure being Toyo and Nitto both are very good. I have a feeling more people will recommend the Toyos though for some reason... anyway feel free to go O.T. and talk about whatever... here's the newest pic of my truck I took since Deep asked about the headlite covers he sold me if anyone wants to photo shop those rims on both tires say you're bored at work or something

I don't know the exact weight, but I now have the mud grappler's on my truck. I had pro comp mud terrains got about 26000 miles on them before they really started to spin in the rain. The mud grappler's seem a lot heavier but at the same time they are a very soft tire. Works great for traction but I don't expect them to last as long as the pro comps but we will see as I have only had them for two months. They look great and are sort of loud, they have a different pitch that reminds me of a jet engine at idle. So I would say they are quieter then the pro comps because of the different pitch. I don't check my gas mileage very often as I am not concerned with it. I have a 6 inch lift and with the pro comps I got 11 MPG around town up hills etc. and anywhere from 13 to 15 on the highway depending on whether I used my cruise control or my lead foot. Hope this helps.
Both should last about 40k miles, the Mud Grapp's really aren't soft, they're just loud. I'd take the Toyo's if you can get them for the same price as the Mud Grapp's, because they ride alot better and I think they do better offroad.
Being in Hawaii, I'd say the Nitto MudGrapplers but it really depends on what you're looking for. I know that most Island folks there aren't as concerned about Road Noise because you're not going to traveling across state and few people there usually like a really aggressive looking Mud Tire that also handles very well in the Islands' goopy Mud. It seems to me that most guys there are running the big Swamper or Bogger type tires so I'd think you might be happier with the appearance of the Nitto than the Toyo if excessive road noise doesn't bother you because I believe the MudGrapplers may possibly be the loudest tires onroad. Another one to consider would be the Mickey Thompson Baja Claw.
Here's an Island Armada on Baja Claws:
and here's one on Pro Comp Extreme M/T's:

mostly street, some mud, lotsa rock... don't care about tracking and noise. I have a loud stereo. but then again, I've never had excessively loud tires or tires that tracked
yeah, most local guys have tires that stick more out than in on the fender... I'm tired of worrying about getting my safety check. so I can always get spacers online to run if I want them to fly mud all down my truck. my X-ATs did just regular driving through muck because they stuck like 2" past the fenders but the offset I got now shouldn't be as bad, probably stick out an inch... 5.75" B.S. 9" wide

I may be biased, but I'd recommend the Toyo MT's. I have a friend w/Nitto's on his Titan. And it just doesn't seem right to blast the stereo in order to mask the sound from the wheels. JMO
lmao, I'm young so I blast the stereo as often as I can... but yeah, doesn't sound logical. I like the Mud Grapplers for looks over the Toyo. but I think all around the Toyo would be a better choice. man, they didn't call today so my wheels aren't here yet
