ill price the nittos tomorrow
the new BFGs if you are going to do any rock climbing and have the $$
the nitto or procomps if you are going to see mud and not much rock
the new BFGs are modeled after their krawler tires which were made for rock climbing

Re: BFG mud km2 vs nitto muds
Also, what size are you looking for? 1600 for bfg's?? that is too much. I work for discount tire Co. here in San Diego and can get you a quote if you want.

Well you say you want a good MT, but what characteristics would you consider make a tire good? Does it have to be quiet, are you looking for maximum offroad traction, do you do alot of street driving, are you buying MTs because you need them for mudding or do you just want an agressive looking tire that still has good street manners? Giving us some more detail as to what you're looking for out of a tire will help us make better reccomendations.

I'm tossing it up between mud grappler and truxus MT... if money wasn't a concern I'd get the Toyo probably but it's just too expensive. I want to do more things than just the rims/tires and the more I spend on them, the less chance I'll have to do the other stuff I have saw piggybacks sitting and want to get an extended front set and UCAs and deaver for the back so I can put the piggybacks on... then possibly a chip to make sure the a/f ratio is good to go and not wear my engine prematurely. then, I gotta tint the front windows... and probably the brake lites paint match my back bumper.. maybe get a stillen grill and paint match it... running boards to help hide my body lift... custom pre-runner front bumper... guess that's it for now.... probably redo the audio/video setup more since that's what I usually fall back to as default... still gotta do more stuff to the wifes car too... probably headrest monitors, smoked tails from germany maybe a 1-2" drop, better brakes for both vehicles too... maybe intake/exhaust and tune for it also since it'd be a terrible waste to leave a turbo vehicle stock and soup up the n/a vehicle... change her orange blinkers to clear... think I may have missed a few things... but you get the idea... I KNOW in the long run toyo MTs would probably outlast nitto muds. but $500 NOW is governing tire choice I go over alot of rock too, so I keep trying to tell the wife the nitto's won't last very long, but I think she thinks I'm just trying to trick her oh well. she'll see when the nittos go 14,000 miles and need to be replaced lmfao I've heard of people getting that outta mud grapplers here since we have alot of rough lava rock that tears sh!t up. and you need to cross/scale it to get to the good beaches really

the tire size im looking for is 305/55/20... i drve about 30 miles of road and about 10 to 15 miles of off road 1 way to work. depending on the location. rain season suck.... and it rain just the other day outta no where... needless to say the mud out there is like snot... i like the aggressive look dont really care about the noise i got 3 12s to cover that up.. um i was told that the km2 are really soft and id probly only get 15k outta them... a friend of mine told me about the toyo mt and i looked at them and got his opinion... needless to say ill be getting them tomorrow for 1300. so i dont think thats too bad. thanks all for your imput....

if you want the best mud out there...km2. its basically an indestructible 10 ply tire. the toyos are nice, but good luck finnding anyone that stocks them. anything backed by michelin/bfg is going to get you much, much better customer service, they really do a good job of taking care of their customers compared to nitto/toyo... especially when buying expensive tires.
