wheel stud problem.

need a quick lesson on replacing a broken rear wheel stud. tore everything down,cant see enough clearence to install new stud short of pulling axel out?
2005 titan le.

It might be necessary to chock the front wheels and lift the entire rear of the truck so you can rotate the axle and find a deeper spot on the backing plate. I don't think removing the axle shaft is required for that repair. Good Luck!

Jack up the truck so that both wheels will rotate. Rotate the axles until you find a place where you can fit the stud in. It takes a little doing but I was able to do it to mine. The process taught me a lesson. Don't use the air wrench to tighten lug nuts. I'm back to using the torque wrench.

Is there any way I can get some pic I would really appreciate it the stupid people I bought the truck from put the wrong lug nuts on all the tires. I am replacing all the lug studs I am have a problem with the rear wheels. If anyone can help that would be cool.
