Probably no improvement in ride by getting the 1.5" kit, as long as you currently have the style that mounts to the top of the coilover, since they don't change the spring rate.
Maybe regain a tiny amount of droop. One thing that would help is, if you got one of the cheap level kits that didn't include an upgraded urethane bump stop, buy one. PRG's 2", (for 4x4 or 2wd), and 2.5" leveling kits, (for 2wd only), both come with them. The 1.5" kits don't need an aftermarket one.
