That looks awsome! I might have to go that route instead of the mini lift and 35's. That looks ALOT taller than a mini lift (which it is, but it just looks alot higher). Did you get any vibration in the rear from the blocks? I can't believe how cheap the RC lift is too. Did you just get it from RC or did you find it somewhere else for even less?
[Someone correct me if I'm wrong] That is the mini lift with 35's. There was a thread on the site that showed that the RC spacers are the same size as the PRG 2.5's. The difference is you get the UCA's. Plus he's got the blocks in the rear. So I think technically it is the mini lift.
OP: Thanks man for the great write up and detailed pics. It definitly helped me decide what my next set of tires are going to be. Truck looks great
Yes it is really just a mini lift but the key is the UCA's, on a 08 + you need to have them because the way the stock ones are designed they will hit like crazy on the lip and the side of the Coil Bucket, trust me i tried it. Even with these some simple modifying of the Coil Bucket is needed but end the end UCA will clear where on the stock ones it just not possible. I put just the spacers in on Thursday night because i was waiting for the Ball Joints and i measured at 40 1/8 then on friday after i put the UCA's on im at 41 1/8 so they do change things a little. I didnt have the money to do the PRG setup right now but i needed new tires so i went this route..

I didn't know that the UCA affected the ride height. So if the spacers give you 2.5 and you can possibly get 1" outa UCA's then you could get more than 3" out of the RC?
I'm REALLY thinking about getting this...but I wanted to know whats the difference between these UCA's and the PRG ones?? The prg ones are about $600 as apposed to $250 for the whole RC kit
I would say that the RC UCA's should hold up to pretty much anything you throw at them, they weigh a couple pounds a peace more than the factory ones. Im sure the PRG ones are built for more abuse but unless you are going to run a baja 500 or something the RC UCA's will be more than enough... Also what PSI should i be running on these tires ? I just checked them and all 4 had 60# , so i put 40# front and 38# rear sound about right ??

The 08's sit higher than all the previous years from the factory and on the 4wd models we can only run a 1.5" front block or we hit the coil bucket. So a mini lift for an 08+ is 1.5/1" vs. the RC 3"/and whatever size block you put in the rear(i'm going to probably go with a 1.5" block). This lift sits much higher than the mini lifts i've seen. Most of the mini lifts with 35's will just BARELY clear 35's even with the PWM, where as this kit gives a good little chunk of clearance.
And from what i've read and heard on the big E load rated tires, yeah around 35-40ish is about right unless you're loading her down with heavy weight. If you run them at the 60-70lbs they are rated at unloaded on a 1/2 ton it's gonna ride REALLY stiff and you'll probably wear out the center tread quick. The lower psi will make them a little louder on the highway though because the larger, more aggressive outer lugs get more contact with the road but it'll ride smoother. I have seen it before but can't remember the details right now to post but you can google it and find tons of info, but their is a chalk test you do to your tires to adjust the psi and get the best contact patch.

I have proof that the 08's and 09's 4x4's sit higher. I am sitting right at 3" higher than stock (04') up front...I have an 04 but am running 09 Pro4x front coilovers with the PRG 2" (04-07 4x4) spacers. I gained an additional inch with this setup, and I am able to run 35" toyo M/T's without the pinchweld mod. I only get slight rub on the fender liner. I'm thinkin the Khumo's might be my best bet when I go new tire shoppin'. But alot depends on $$$.

Wow, did you take these measurements post alignment? So the RC 3" kit might actually be a true 3" kit. I've checked with RC a couple times and they say its a true 3" kit.
