Yeah i have a tundra. RCSB 5.7 Sport Appearance Package.
This is what kills me. In the past 3 weeks, Ive taken down a stock lightning at the track, a charger R/T with at least an exhaust, and most recently the G35, both on the street, so i know I should be 8's in the 1/8th and 13's in the 1/4. On the street I can hook up fine. But tonight when I went to Irwindale, with a best ever DA of 500, I couldn't get traction to save my life. Best run was a 9.1 with the 91 tune. I even switched it to my 87 tune hoping less power would mean better traction, but nope. There wasn't one run where i didn't spin. Then the traction control would bog the engine and slow me down ever more.
It's so frustrating. Perfect race weather and I have nothing to show for it except pieces of tire in my rear wheel well.
Sorry for the rant, but had to vent, and I didnt think it was a good idea to start a new thread. Hope I do better Saturday in the 1/4. I'll probably only get one run in and I hope I don't blow it.
BTW, I'm racing an 09 Dodge Ram R/T. should be good.

So last night the DA was awesome. Best we've ever had in 2 years! Only problem was, hooking up! I ran a total of 7 times, and 5 out of 7 of those runs I had 2.3 60's. I really need a TT. Every time I punched it I would spin the rest of 1st gear. On average my trap speed increased. Usually, I would bounce back between 72.5 - 73.2 MPH, but it stayed in the 73s every run, except one where I hit 74.
Here are my best two slips:
60' - 2.136
1/8 - 9.410 @ 74.02
60' - 2.150
1/8 - 9.438 @ 73.63
There was a bone stock 2008 Titan CC who was running 9.99s, stock. I saw a red T, but didn't get a chance to talk with him/her due to the staging distance. Anyone else show up besides Jason (Socaliallstar) and I?
Sorry to jack your thread Jason, but no where else to put it.

LOL, yeah it gets challenging to launch when the track his cold, like RBs used to say, you have to become one with the truck LOL....Sometimes its hard, sometimes you just have to launch at 1/4 throttle and ease into it..Good runs guys!
Well on the flip side, I guess my tune and H pipe made pretty good improvements. With just intake and exhaust and in worse DA, i ran a 9.0 with no problems launching. Now seems like i roast the tires no matter what I do. Even on the 87 tune. Im almost hoping the DA is a little worse tomorrow so I can hopefully get some traction. Or pray the DA drops by 500 mid way through my run lol.
I've learned to hate chevys even more. There were 3 guys last night with RCSB silverados with 6.0 swaps in them. With the 6.0 plus intake/exhaust/headers/ and a tune, they were running mid to low 8's all night. Apparently 6.0 5.3 and the 4.8 are all interchangeable, everything hooks up, harness and all.

Those are some nice times for your mods Warp. Looks like your very good at launching your truck man, 2.1 60ft's in 2wd is very good for your trucks trim. My Titan's (05 XE O/R CC 4x4 I/E 3.36 5480lbs w/me in it) best 60ft was a 2.1, but that was in 4hi idle to WOT launch with no spinning, so doing that in 2wd is real respectable.
I would guess your two 1/8th mile times would come out to a 14.6-14.7 1/4mile, and the run in your sig should be a 14.5 1/4mile pass. A 2.0x 60ft. with open rear and stock tires (?) is about as good as it gets, now time for you to get a true trac and some DR's and drop a lot of e.t. I also think you can shave off a little bit with a different set up on the exhaust side though. But those are good runs, congrats.

9.1 isn't bad, that's around a 14.20 1/4mile, a 9.0 is a 14.0x. What was the trap, 60ft, and psi you were running in your tires? Did you vary your launch rpm and roll out technique? With a good launch you should break into the 13's, keep at it man.
BTW what was the Lightning and Chargers times? Good kills.
