War StoriesThis section is for discussion of any races you may have particpated in. If you smoked someone like a pack'o'cools, let us know. Likewise, if you got beat... let us know by what, so we can keep an eye out for it next time.
Had a guy here at work who has seen the T, and heard me talking about some of the mods that have been done. Long story short he said he had a trans am and we should line em up.
so we set the date for last saturday at noon. I have raced a few stock gts, but never a trans am, so i said screw it.
headed to a dead four lane street, hit the red light, and its on. First was from a dig, he pulled on me hard off the line. between one tire fire wheel spin and a sandbagging effort to get traction, he was gone.
Second time we ran from a 20mph roll. i kept up through his first gear. when he shifted to second he slowly started to pull away. by the time we hit 90-95, he was a good car and some ahead. ran a third time with a roll again, same outcome.
i was a little disapointed, but i thought on the bright side, my heavy *** truck almost kept up with his ( sports car ). We pulled back into the yard, tail between my legs, and shot the sh!t with the guy.
Come to find out he is rolling in a ws6. i didnt even know there was a ws6, and had no idea thats what i was lining up against. needless to say, when it was all over, i feel pretty damn good on how the T stood against his.
oh, and I NEED TRU TRAC!!!!!

Oh, the WS6 is just a suspension package for better handling. However, I think it was always paired up with the Ram Air package which was good for another 15+ hp over the standard package.

Oh, don't feel too bad about the loss. I "attempted" to race a C6 Z06. That lasted about, oh, 0.2 seconds before I saw nothing but tail lights disappearing over the horizon and the sound of a NASCAR engine deafening me...
BTW, I had no intentions of EVER trying to win that race. I was just seeing if he would bite.............and he did................hard.

Yeah sounds like mod time for you 08Blizzard..and Eddie too, just throw some more mods on there LOL....I would say the same to you Juday, but I'm pretty sure that it doesn't really matter what mods oyu do, the outcome would have been the same LOL...I raced a regular C6 vette and got beat. I also raced a C5 and got beat even worse (I raced the C5 longer than the C6 LOL)

similar experience with me before. just wanted to mess around and see if he would go for it and his car raped my truck but we both had a good laugh about it

To see a C6 Z06 pull away from you if you don't hit the gas too is something to see. That car squatted like a mofo when he took off and he didn't even downshift. He was probably in 3rd or 4th gear because he got up to a 100 mph easily from 60 so fast.

.......but your car does 0-60 in 5.5 seconds...I thought you could beat anything with that type of blazing speed.
