Titan GT - Infineon Track, opening day [03.07.12] [Slips][Vid]

got my baseline... not happy but at least I got the start.

I WILL NOT DO WEIGHT REDUCTION, so don't go there.

I ran WITH my buddy in passenger (he's 250ish), normally I'm 5330, so that's 5610#

First race was vs some old non-stock late 60's or early 70's camero running hi 11's

Next 2 were vs Shawn's SC'd Titan

Last was vs some crazy 57? chevy that ran almost 12 flat
I did not fully grasp that reaction time would lead to a loss
I thought as long or whomever got closest dialin time, I would win
- basically on purpose I did not jump on it fearing the redlight.. OOPS, never again! I will fight for red light!

That's some good 60' times without trutrac, with a 1.9 60' and trutrac those same runs would be 13.9X-14.0 and with a 260# passenger @ 5600# is pretty good! Without that passenger and trutrac you'd be a 13.6 truck, which is very respectable @ 5300#!! Thanks for the vids

I said the same thing 2 yrs ago, and now I'm in the driveway for hours cutting sh#t off. LOL

I've been to the scale and weighed, I am getting people not believing my weight so I'll hit another scale soon to compare.

Not too bad, glad to hear you finally made it out there. How was the tempature and da? I think if you ran at Sac you'd get more practice in. There's a scale by the airport we could go hit up, it's supposed to be real accurate. I weighed my car there and seem spot on.

some temps are on the slips, not sure about the da. I thought I heard one announcer say it was positive and we'll get into the negatives soon?

according to this da calc site

it was this for my first run (apx since the time I can't get exact?)
Density Altitude: 911 feet
Relative Density: 97.36 %

and my last run it was:
Density Altitude: 422 feet
Relative Density: 98.77 %

Sweet!!! Finally got your base time! Its harder than you thought to hit 13's huh? Good runs Brodo! Next time try heating up your tires a bit more on the burnouts. I give mine a thrashing & they hook like glue!

Cool man nice to see you went to the track!!!!! what size tires in the rear? Ok well its cool you got a baseline run but.......IMO you need a different tuner there is something big time wrong with your truck...I MEAN BIG TIME...With all the stuff you have done 5600lbs or not you should run lowwww 13s.....the gears are killing your trap speed you should be trapping over 100mph easy.....Im not saying any of this to be a jerk....im just shocked at the times......and im not sure what your looking for in the big picture of things.....for example 08crewcab....ran 14.2@94 without headers at a uphill track in a 1200 da.....see what im getting at......IMO with all the stuff you have done with stock gears....you should run 12.6@106ishmph.....If you want help with ideas of what you should do please ask the guys on here and not your tuner.....Good luck bro...

da was -350 or so. Your corrected times would be about .05 better. I didn't know you had Trutrac. I agree though, something is wrong with your tune IMO. You need to get up with someone with cipher and send me and a couple others a log so we can see. I'm going to guess your AFR's are off and your timing is way too low. I'm sure you already know this but, your AFR's should be 12.6 ish and timing should max at 33-36 degrees. Also check your throttle voltage to make sure you have WOT off the line. You might not get WOT until 40mph if they didn't turn off the restriction. Just a thought, just the WOT restriction itself is worth .2 in the 1/4 mile IMO for 2wd trucks.

I heard his T chirp 2nd gear so i think he's getting WOT off the line guys. Its the guys first time @ the track give the guy a break.

He chirps 2nd gear because he was probably manually shifting. I know it was his first time but it doesn't matter. With a 2.1 60' his times should be better with all the mods he has. Danblp ran a 13.83 with a 2.1 60' @ over 5800# in a 0 DA. If we all just say good job and not try to help him, he might over look a simple reason he's not running better like WOT restriction or his AFR's being screwed up. I ran a 14.27 @ 5300# with I/E/T

It is possible that his tuner gave him a conservative tune. We won't know till we see the logs...
