This guys been racing me everytime i see him and usually killing me... saw him tonight and we played a little weaving in and out of traffic/jumping back and forth but we couldn't hit a clear light... I've got my S&B Ram Air and new exhaust set up (click link in sig line) so i'm wanting to see if i can keep up. Don't know who he is though...

yeh those new GC's are pretty sweet in general, now the SRT8 is just insane. and quick as sh!t. theres no doubt about that. maybe,just maybe from the line itd be even for about 5 secs. then its sayonara! the dealership in my area has one sitting out there, owner traded it for a nissan quest i guess from what they told me..theyre asking a pretty good price for it..its taken everythng out of me to NOT go over there and take a "test drive" lol.. GL with that tho anyways.

Nope, not a chance. They launch like animals as well. I saw one spotting a new Sierra Denali at the track a full length off the line and he was spanking him by the 1/8 easily. He could almost catch him at the 60ft line. The denali had CAI and exhaust and was running consistent 14.3's all night.

Most test and reviews of 2012's have them running mid 13's bone stock. I have seen earlier models running low 13's to high 12's at my local track but they were supercharged. The 2012's are rated 470hp at the crank and that will not support low 12's considering their weight. With mods the sky is the limit....they can be brutally fast.
If you seen low 12's from a Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT-8 there were modified or juicing it regardless of what they may say.
Yup, it won't be close, from any speed, no matter what gen you race. I've raced one in various stages of his mods from N/A, nitrous, and supercharged and they are stupid fast from a dig.

Here's the one I always race, but he's running mid 11's at 117 so it's not much of a race now unless we do a roll race from 20-25mph. With my big engine torque and 4.56's I actually pull on him in 1st which is not much of a bragging right since I'm pretty much starting in the middle of 1st gear and have to catch my shift pretty quick to 2nd. Then bottom and middle of second I'm still hanging pretty good till the top of second he starts walking away, by third he's running away from me. From a dig it's not even funny how hard this thing launches, 1.60 60 fts and still spinning.
Win or loose just race the guy, try get it on video!

They don't run low 12's lol. The 6.1 was a low mid 13 second truck, the 6.4 is about the same due to weight increase. You won't keep up off the line either. They are AWD and put out about 360-370 to the wheels stock. They can run a low 13 at 1.8 60', but only trap low 100's. They lose steam on the topend due to weight. I raced one several times at the track. Even though I was nearly 1 second faster, he got me off the line everytime with a bone stock/first time out 1.8 60'. It's going to take a Lightning with a tune or an SRT10 RC Ram to keep up with/beat one. From stop light to stop light though, there is not really much better.
Damn apparently I was giving false hope! Lol. Just wanted to give a nugget of confidence. Sorry guys. Haha. 0Five just drew the line in the sand. I was the only one who crossed it. Lmfao!

No no no, I was just saying. I'm not trying to say I know it all, it's just that their known "rep" on the street is a badazz stop light racer because they shoot out of the hole like no other. They trap fairly low in the 1/4 for the times they run, simply because they fly off the start.
