So, basically...I'm at a light and didn't even think about racing...when the light turns green, the afore mentioned truck next to me takes off. This catches my attention and I immediately look over for a sign that he was really racing or not. Well, he was...that stupid grin on his face as he looked over at me as he took off was all I needed. So after a quick check to see he wasn't setting me up (cops), I punched it...my 5 year old daughter says "cool, daddy, go!" This was a shock...I had never raced with her in it, but made it even more fun! Anyways on to the details...his back bumper was at my front bumper when I took off...within a few seconds, his front bumper was at my back bumper...by that time, I reached 60 and let off because we were in a 40mph zone.

I didn't really get to see...I stayed ahead of him and when we got the next light I was in a line to turn left and he was about 10 cars back to turn right...After I passed him, he let off...way off. I think he just wanted to see what the Titan could do. I bet he's at the dealership now...

I had a similar experience a few weeks back on my way to work one morning. I was on the center lane when I got to a red light. The left lane was taken by a lowered Escalade with 24 inch wheels and the right lane was immediately occupied by a Chevy 2500 with the loudest exhaust at this time of the morning (0530) The right lane was a "right turn only" lane and marked clearly turn on red is permitted.
Both cars seems to be together and I sense the pickup will try to outrun the Escalade at my expense because he was NOT making that right turn but is going to jump the light and cut me off instead.
Both drivers are looking at my truck and both have this smirk that says to me my Titan will be their first kill for the day!!! I travel this road everyday and know when the lights turn. I get myself ready. I will not let my Titan be someones breakfast this morning. At least not today!!
As the light turns green, I floor the gas 3/4 and my Titan takes off. 5 seconds later I could see both vehicles in my rear view mirror and I tap my brakes to signal (TKO!!) I'm slowing down. We get to the next light and they won't even stop next to me!!! They stopped side by side behind the Titan. They were obviously very embarrassed.
I like a short burst race too, but I wouldnt even do that with my 12yr old nephew in the car much less a 5year old. Not that age should make any difference. Oh, yeah. good kill

hey, my dad used to race all the time with me in the car when i was a kid... my dad used to drive like a champ. he'd of put nascar drivers to shame!!! his racing was awesome!!! if its your time its your time!! flame all you want but we are as worthless as a grain of sand so stop living like ralph nader and enjoy life!!
