Chevrolet and GMC Killed one after another - being discussed at Nissan Titan Forums in the War Stories section.
This is a kill involving 2 different Chevys/GMC(essentially the same trucks).
I was driving down the highway with a cab full of friends. We start riding side by side with a GMC 2500 HD. I notice he has a hood-scoop on his truck. We pull up to a stop light and we glace over at each other. He starts to lurch forward so we both know whats going on. I was on the cell phone when the light turned green so he got a second head start on me. I accelerated and caught up at about 55 passed at about 60. He was just looking down while his friend was kind of chuckling to himself. They both knew they didn't even stand a chance, even with a huge hood scoop and a head start. When I looked back, they were too far back to see. They didn't even try a second run.
After I got up to about 70, I start to slow down. I look in my mirror and see a Chevy 1500(with another hood scoop) come speeding out of no where. He saw me and the 2500 HD lining up and he wanted in on the action. He floored it and was really taking off. He was going about 75 when he was coming up on me, I was going around 60. He got up to about the driver side door before I decided to stomp it again and leave him back. When I got to about 70 I started to slow down to let him catch up. He floors it again and starts to get pass me, until I start to accelerate again. I left him in the dust again. He continued to try and catch up til we got going pretty fast, when we both backed off. I let him pull up side me to see him laughing his a** off while his wife was having a good time too. It looked like he enjoyed being killed more then I did killing him. They both gave me the thumbs up and continued to laugh histarically.
Me and my friends were both pumped up from killing two trucks in under a minute, so we went mudding. While we were mudding, we saw a older style Ford 150 get stuck as well. We didn't have a tow rope so we couldn't help him. We continued to go through mud like it was dry pavement while they sat in their cab looking on while waiting for their friend in a Jeep to get a rope.

About 6 months ago I was heading back out to the farm in a hurry running about 80. This kid in a 2000 Z-71 comes flying up behind me and then starts riding all over my butt. After tailgating me for a mile I decided to show him what a Nissan will do. I have driven many trucks but not a single one would accelerate from 80+ like this one. After running up to 110 and leaving him far behind I let back off to 80 and then here he comes. I just let him go, the race was over but I guess he got some kind of satisfaction passing me. My turn off was coming up so he was proboly hoping for a rematch.

While test driving a truck identical to the one i have now, the kid/salesman that was with me told me to punch it when a chevy z-71 4x4 was lurching on my back bumper. Of course I smoked him. when he caught up I punched it and smoked him again. It was then and there that I knew I wanted a Nissan cc 4x4 or bt. I didn't want that one because i had raced it with only 14 miles on it. I told him to let me get my finances together and in a month I would be back. I asked for the same options plus a dvd played on the new truck. it was there in 2 days with 8 miles on it. I bought it for $200.00 over invoice. I broke it in good before I ever let her rip. I love mt pick-um-up truck
95 Wellcraft Nova Spider 454 Magnum (350 hp)
73 mph (GPS) It really likes the gas too!
89 SE V6 hardbody w/320,000 miles used to pull
my boat.......(needed a bigger truck).
Options in order:
2 degree timing advance thanks to Titanblue,
Fram AirHog, Nissan Hood Protector, Truxedo, Nissan XM receiver (mounted under steering wheel area as per Forum recommendations....worked like a charm)
with non-Nissan much smaller Xm antenna (mounted through Third brake light hole...piece of cake), and last....so far, PRG leveling kit (love it....no problem install after I realized that I really should listen to PRGreg about disconnecting the anti sway bar)
Just read this story and was wondering if you're doing all this while on the phone???
Multi-tasking talent!!! Hope the call wasn't dropped!
Anyway, good reading.
