Hemi vs Titan

Time: Today 0530Hrs
Location: Local divided 2 lane Route with lights
Attendance: Road is deserted. Only 2 vehicles present (Nissan vs Dodge)
Stats: Dodge: Hemi (badge on the side), 20" wheels (OEM), 2-door, ultra clean, new wax look black, exhaust (?) intake (?) oil (?)
Nissan: Titan SE, 4 doors, 20" wheels (aftermarket), dirty, true dual exhaust, volant 2nd gen, full tank of 89 octane, black, Mobil 1

Report: I was at a light on the left lane when this super clean Dodge Ram pickup pulls alongside. The driver looks at my wheels, looks at me, looks at my exhaust then back at me and gives me this "I've got a HEMI and you've got nothing" snotty kind of look. Well, this Titan owner doesn't take insults very well so I planned to go 3/4 throttle at green then floor it after a second BUT whoa!!! This guy jumps the gun when the intersecting light was changing yellow to red!!! Now I am out chasing his rear however, in about 6 seconds or a bit more, my speedometer is reading 90's and I was 2 truck lengths up front! I backed off after hitting 100 and back down to 50 to stop for the next light. He pulls alongside me again at the light and did not even acknowledge my presence (or his loss). I was going to give him a thumbs up for a good race but....go pound sand!.. sore loser!!!

Result: TKO

I cruised within limits after that but he stayed 2-3 cars back until we crossed the State into Philadelphia where he disappeared into the metropolitan traffic.

It makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside not because the Titan took the Hemi, well maybe just a little, but the fact that a snooty, self richeous SOB got his azz handed to em and got what he deserved.

Now if he was cool I would feel bad for him that his Hemi got smoke checked by a Titan.

Good Kill...

It's true that people who drive a hemi also have a small penis. They bought a truck with the word hemi on it just so they could fee like a real man.

The other funny thing I would like to bring up is the fact that almost all of our kill stories are about Hemi Rams. Ford and Chevy don't even stand a chance against a Titan. They will always get their a$$ BEAT.

Ya know what they say..........the bigger the truck, the smaller the penis, and the bigger the **** is behind the wheel........hehehe.

Titan owners excluded of course. :-D We all know that Titan drivers are secure in their manhood.........err, womanhood...........errr, something.

Good Kill.. Like everyone said, he should've at least given you a "thumbs up"... or asked you that question, "What you got in that thing?" He's gonna go back and tell his buddies he lost to a Titan with either turbo, supercharger or nos. haha.

What's the reason for the 3/4 throttle? Less Spin?

I personally experienced that it's quicker off the line (less tire spin and less "bogging") and once I feel the tires start to gain traction, floor the throttle to let the engine spin all the way to 3600 RPM (the max oem torque rpm) and more depending on your engine response to your intake and exhaust mods.

I have never dyno'ed my truck but I try to make my mods complementary to each other. I have an appointment to change my rear catalytic converters to 2.5" straight flow resonators in 2 weeks so ... let's see....

My website will be updated as soon as the cat to resonator mod is completed as I have done with all my other mods. You're welcome to visit via the links below my SIG.

BTW, Thank you for the complements everyone!

You know that is so true. When I had one, I was hung like a church mouse. After I got the Titan, I now have 3 inches of dangling furry, whoa hoo!!!!
