The Hemi guys forum

I was curious of all the shish talk the Dodge quacks were talking about the titan. This one guy with a single cab hemi raced a titan cc.......he barely beat him but, well it was a single cab with custom intake and exhaust.

It was funny to read what they were saying.

At least some of those guys had an open mind and didn't have the mentality that "nothing can beat my hemi" but others seem to have that way of thinking.........i really like the post where the guy stated that the titan was built by fellow americans..............we need more of this to get around

>>>HAHAHAHA.. that's some good reading . Thanks for the Post.. It's good to hear that the Dodge guys at least are showing some kind of respect for the Titan's motor.

The guys on that site seem to be more mature and educated than one of the other Dodge forums.
I think that the word is finally getting out to the masses that the Titan is indeed a truck to be reckoned with.

That is unless you drive a 5.9liter (360ci) Dodge with a factory 240hp and no mods that would account for any huge jumps in hp.

Ive known a few of the 5.9's that could run, and I mean hard but there mods were extensive.

Yeah.... but just imagine what the Titan would be capable of with extensive mods to the 5.6L endurance engine. If/when a twin screw roots-style supercharger comes out (490+hp), even the highly respected SRT10 will have trouble from the mighty Titan.

I'm not sure if it's true or not, but some over on ClubTitan have mentioned that some "Hemi" Rams are having a hard time getting the "official" factory rated HP figures. I guess to get a 345bhp figure at the crank, you should be around 275+hp at the rear wheels. I believe it's generally accepted that there's usually a 20-25% loss through the drivetrain. Some have speculated that Dodge may be overating the HP figures because alot of them are barely managing 245+rwhp.

Kind of reminds me of the 1999 SVT Mustang Cobra where they rated it at 320hp but in reality it was only pushing about 290, long story short the dealer installed a different intake and some other electronic gadget to get closer to the 320hp. ........................................... ............................... Maybe they should go back to the dealer and get them checked out or show some dynos to the manufacturer and ask questions, I would wouldnt you?

I fully suspect that dodge over rated there HP and Nissan has theres under rated.

To be honest I doubt theres 10hp difference between these two engines and its our better gearing thats giving us the edge.

That was just one of the stories on Blueoval.com that inspired Ford to bankrupt the site through constant court action, even when Ford was losing cases.

Ford has never been truthful with it's customers and deceive them even when their safety defects are life threatening as with the Firestone tires, Explorer's unsafe weight distribution causing roll-overs, and now the full size F-150 and Super Duties cruise control causing fires in the trucks when their not even running. This resulting in either burnt down truck, or garage, or house, or all 3.

Ford for me, NEVER. I don't deal with companies who have no morals and poor business ethics. They wonder why they have been rated to junk bond status.

Have a good one.

its always fun reading the takes over on their site, but the truth still remains and its one thing they've never been comfortable with, but its hard to when your ignorant... btw - raced a hemi quad cab 2 weeks ago and him and i were neck and neck however i was about 2-3 feet in front of him. i could see his wheel out of the corner of my eye just about to my left... here's another factor - he had the jump out of the hole on me... well after less than about 1/4 mile i shut it down or i would have missed the street i had to turn off on... hopefully he realized the titan is not a pushover but a nemesis that is to be reckoned with and once mods become available, soon to become its master, hehe...

It was the usual read. Modded standard cab Dodges bragging that they are faster than a 4-door titan. *yawn*
I think I've only run one quad cab Dodge and he was, well, a ways behind me (without any nitrous by the way).
