Find a paved hill....identical trailers....and race up this hell....
The trailer up the hill comparison has been done:

http://www.iboats.com/sites/trailerb..._page_259.html

"MOUNTAIN TOWING
On a moderate climb (3-percent grade on our test course), the Chevy Silverado was able to maintain its flatland speeds without stress, and could pull the hill with a little power left over. We found the engine pulled this grade best at 2800 rpm. However, the steepest (6-percent grade) hill and the 7840-pound load brought the Chevy to its knees with a speed of 45 mph only maintained in second gear with the engine spinning at 3300 rpm. It could not maintain speed in third gear on this steepest grade. Almost no acceleration was available.

The Ford F-150 pulled the 3-percent grade easily in third gear at 2600 rpm, and could accelerate up this incline in third gear. However, on the 6-percent grade, the Ford began to slow, too. It could only keep up a 40 mph pace if in second gear at 2700 rpm, but if slowed by impeding traffic to below 2000 rpm, the F-150 could not get back up to speed on our steepest test incline unless dropped into first gear for a moment.

Nissan’s Titan wouldn’t pull fourth gear on the 3-percent grade but would easily cruise up the moderate incline in third gear at 55 mph at 3100 rpm, and accelerate in this gear from 55 mph. On the 6-percent grade, the Titan would comfortably pull the hill at 40 mph in third gear at 2400 rpm, but almost no acceleration was left over. The Titan’s engine pulled best when running in the 2500 to 3000 rpm range, and was judged to be the best hill climber of the trio."

More of the same:

"Towing acceleration was recorded using the 7860-pound trailer boat as a weight sled. In the towing 0-to-40 mph holeshot test, Nissan won the blue ribbon with a 9.2-second ET. Chevy and Ford finished second and third with 11.6- and 11.8-second ETs, respectively.

In 0-to-60 mph towing runs, the Nissan Titan was again the quickest, recording an ET of 20.8 seconds.

Chevrolet’s 1500 was first runner-up, knocking off 60 mph in 23 seconds. Ford was third with 26.8 seconds.
While the 40-to-60 mph towing acceleration times for the Chevy and Nissan were close (about 111/2 seconds), the Ford lagged behind with an ET of 15 seconds."

Sounds like a better test of skills than the "Titan/F150 pull-off"

Then you gotta ask yourself...

Do you mean you want to run the Pull-off twice, otherwise you may want to challenge him to a duel, like dueling banjos, or maybe "whittlin' knives and willa' branches" like Ernest T. Bass preferred.

LOL,
My son gave my truck a new name "TitanUp" I think I'll look into a vanity plate.

Ok let me get this straight....... In everything that I've seen, the Titan beats the F-150 in most catagories except interior. Even Car and Driver picked the Titan in a head to head competition and I am expected to believe that the ultimate test would be to hook these two up at the rear and see who can drag whom? I'll pass.

Creativity at its finest.

I think that the most amusing aspect of this whole thread is the fact that the challenge stems from "Admobil"'s comments on their board about the power of the Titan compared to the F-150. It's not like he was over there saying "your trucks suck" yadda yadda. He stated widely known facts(at least outside of "Ford Planet"). How many times must something be proven, real world or otherwise, before the message finds its way through your thick skulls? And to say that the Titan is like a car with a bed is pretty ignorant.

Yeah. Admobil sure sounds like a troll to me, and we deserve to be punished for it by way of F-150 PULL-OFF!

You drive a quality automobile. The Titan will walk it in a power contest despite manufacturer claims of evenly matched power. The F series has a nice interior, a pool sized bed to hold "farm goods" and quiet steel.I dont see how Ford owners feel like they Owe Ford something. In my opinion, they owe you something.

Take it for what its worth. Afterall, this is the internet. I could be an 8 year old girl talking trucks for all you know.Ha ha. "My daddy bought it for me because i got all A's in 4 th grade".

On what type of surface. Maybe teh ford is better off road? I don't know. Why are you guys so anal? I know of more domestic owners that really use thyeir trucks than import folks. I love the titan and if it was in my budget, it'd be in my garage. But that doesnt mean the ford or checy are bad trucks. Nissan is just better in a few areas. maybe the ford is better off road? I dunno. But whats the big deal. Go out shake hands, do it, have a few beers and chuckles.

I only responded to threads they started, never started my own or made any comment about the titan, I just read there threads daily and when they said somthing that was totally false about the titan like it cant haul 1500 lbs or somthing stupid like that i would jump to its defense.
The thread that lead to the pull off got started because a 04 f150 owner got beat by a titan and he admitted that it had good power and he had a new respect for it. But the die hard blue oval guys couldnt stand it!!!!! lmao!!!

With my typos and all? Haha. Laptops are tough.

Everyone know a Titan is a quicker truck on pavement. Of course it is. more hp to weight and an extra gear. But this is a different type of work and it'd be fun.

By the way I just bought a used F150 crew cab (used Titans are too pricey right now) and the truck is great. Ive used the heck out of it and its a great truck. I would never have used the Titan for this. Why? B/c I wouldn't use a vehicle I paid that much $ for in the way I use the 150. Still love the Titan, test drove 2 of them and think I'd buy one over a new F150 any day for the same $. Plus the Nissan's engine and tranny's have been great to me (Had 3 Maximas and 2 Sentras) despite regular revs to the redline for 100K + miles on each of them. I say all that to let you know I am not biased and I visit this site b/c I love the titan and will strongly consider one for my next full sized truck!

Scotty, you are a wise man. I think most of us here on Titantalk feel the same way.
Some Titans were probably purchased on impulse, and these same people are the ones who 6 months later decide that "OMG" what have I done? I don't need a truck!!!!! So they start nitpicking and whinning wanting Nissan to buy there truck back or they start screaming lemon.
And yes unfortunatly some trucks [not just Titans] are indeed lemons.
But most of us here myself included, researched the heck out of this truck, we test drove every truck we could lay our hands on. And when the dust settled, we all decided that for the money it had to be a Titan. Because it is a fact, for a 1/2 ton truck nothing else comes close to the power and towing capabilities of this truck.
Why anyone in their right mind would test drive and compare features and price then purchase anything else is just incomprehensible to me.
