Ford F-150 Pull Challenge to Titan

Ford F-150 Pull Challenge to Titan

Guys, check out this thread:

http://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=380301

The guys over at the Ford-Trucks Forum (Ford Truck Enthusiasts) are wanting someone with a 4x4 Titan in the Kansas City area to go to their get-together and hook up receiver hitch to receiver hitch with a stock new F-150 and see who can pull who around.

Please don't go over there and troll or get in a flame war, but I think this is a fair chance to see what the trucks can do, if the playing field is level and they don't bring in a ringer.

The driver does need to have some experience, as driver skill and traction are probably going to be just as important as low end torque.

Anyone interested? Let them know.

I'm not gonna do it, but it just stands to reason that with more HP, and more torque the Titan will win hands down. It dosen't take a rocket scientist to figure that out. It's just plain ole simple physics.
I hope someone who knows how to drive takes them up on the challenge and humiliates the hell out of them.

Yeah,

There was a thread about this earlier this week, or maybe last week...can't remember.

I'll take my CRV there and pull that F-150, no problem!

This is old news.

I wish someone would go down there and do that, the Furd moderator even volunteered to video tape it. I wonder if he would share the humiliation with us
Anybody with big balls and a Titan in KS?

I don't think it would even take big balls- Just some bored Titan owner with a little time (and a Ford) to kill.

Don't ever play another man's game. Either he has something up his sleeve, or he is a fool.

I live in the Kansas City area, but not sure this is something I want to take on. Like rholland says, I don't think they would be offering to do this if they didn't think they had an edge. Of course, stupidity often leads one to think they have an edge.

You would be a VERY popular person around here if you did. I would suggest someone go with you to video tape as well, some how I could see a little Furd editing going on otherwise. Set the RULES ahead of time, hopefully stock to stock. Then watch Furd owners faces.

my boat.......(needed a bigger truck).

Options in order:
2 degree timing advance thanks to Titanblue,
Fram AirHog, Nissan Hood Protector, Truxedo, Nissan XM receiver (mounted under steering wheel area as per Forum recommendations....worked like a charm)
with non-Nissan much smaller Xm antenna (mounted through Third brake light hole...piece of cake), and last....so far, PRG leveling kit (love it....no problem install after I realized that I really should listen to PRGreg about disconnecting the anti sway bar)

This challenge was posted on another thread that ended up being closed because some knucklehead couldn't behave himself.

Word of caution folks, if this thread even starts to turn, the moderators will take the necessary action to enforce forum rules.

Thanks for your cooperation.

If I did do it, I may need a group of fellow Titan owners there to cover my a$$ when I win...I can see a bit of a battle breaking out.
