Thanks Z28, by the way, I'm also building a '70 Z 28 drag car right now. I'm builing the 468 for it right now and I ordered some Canfield heads for it. It should run 10's on pump gas, later.
Sounds sweet! Post some pics.

Dodge are the only ones ramping up the HP and Torque. I've got a buddy who's building the new Toyota plant here in San Antonio, and he's told me there is a section on the plans for a Diesel line that goes in a 3/4 ton truck.

Gig'em, how's it going, I'm originally from San Antonio. I hope to visit this fall, I was going to tow the roadrunner down with me and see how it ran at the old dragway.

From what I've read on the subject, the new 6.1L Hemi will be available only on the 2500HD series Ram trucks. The 1500's will still come with the 5.7L Hemi.
Rumours also say the next generation 5.3 Vortec will have close to 350hp for the GMT-900's. The 6.0L is speculated to have 400hp in the next Silverado SS. Some say it may also be offered in supercharged version as well. The next Tundra will probably have an engine similar to the current I-force V8 in a 5.5L or larger size. I'm sure that engine will have at least 350hp with Toyota's VVT-I technology.
If Nissan ever includes some form of VVT-I on the 5.6L Endurance, I'm sure the Titan can get close to 375hp as it sits right now. If they tinker with the cam profiles, intake runners and exhaust, I bet 400hp would be easily achievable.
I wouldn't worry about the Titan. I'm sure Nissan has several tricks up its sleeve to keep the Titan competitive against those pesky Dodge Ram Hemi's.

With the price of gas high and going higher, I wouldn't look for a lot of performance improvements from any of the auto makers. If it is not on the drawing board now, I woldn't look for it to get there, even though the performance is what sold the Titan to most people.

I'm originally from Dallas. SA is pretty cool. I've been here since January. I didn't even know there was a drag strip here. I need to look into that!
This city will either be really festive come Friday, or really depressed. There are GO SPURS GO banners all over the place.
