OK so you guys made me do it...

I got my truck a couple weeks ago and love it. Found this site a week or so before I bought and was even more sold on the Titan. I really enjoyed the stories here but never really thought about racing my new toy

...until last night. This @$$ in a Pontiac Grand Prix comes flying up behind me and starts riding my tail. We're on a four lane street and traffic is fairly light but I wasn't paying attention and was right next to another car going 5-10 mph over the speed limit. Obviously not fast enough for Flash Gordon in his Pontiac. So I slide over and he jams by, giving me a nasty glance. Well he ends up stopped at the light ahead and to my great pleasure there is a free lane next to him. After pondering whether or not to embarass him for a millisecond I pull into the lane and up next to our unwitting victim.

He, of course, looks over at me and you can see he wants to go. Well, I know my truck is fast, but after reading these stories, I figure, "what the hell?" Now I am not very experienced, so I just did what I used to do in my ex-girlfriends Z-28. I Stood on the brakes, gave it enough gas that the back end lifted up and when the light turned green I punched it and came off the brakes.

I could tell by the quick chirp from his direction he was looking to show me up. Well, I very quickly jumped to a car length lead. A large grin spreading rapidly across my face. At about 2 car lengths we are approaching 60 and I am sure he was wondering what the heck was going on. I came off the gas as we are in the city and I am not trying to get my new truck smashed.

Anyway I spent the rest of the night grinnin and my girlfriend asking why I was in such a good mood.
