Ran a new dakota

2005 QC dakota with the V8 badge.

On my way home last night from the gym get caught at a light next to this dakota. I look over and see him staring at me so I give him a nod and he responds with this sh!t eating grin and starts to creap up a little. The adrenaline is still in the veins from the gym so I say what the hell. Light goes green and we are off. Ran them up to about 70 mph and he is on my rear bumper, maybe a half a truck length behind. We slowed back to 50 and gave each other the thumbs up. Those little trucks run pretty good.

I just wish I woulda launched hard instead of rolling into the throttle. Might have been able to pick up a little more on him off the line.

Most likely a harder launch would have made it a bit uglier. Good kill. Now we gotta get you on the track.

Hmmm... that's fishy because depending on what you ran I think the best et a stripper model can get is low 16s maybe high 15s.

Like I said, I just rolled into the throttle. By no means was it a true launch. He actually put about half a truck on me at the start, but I made that up pretty quickly.

Hey Head, I agree I need to get on that track. I have made a few passes with the g-tech, usually around 15.2, best pass was 15.13, worst pass was 15.3's. Planning on making a trip out to the track soon. My older brother has a CC Chevy slightly modded so we want to go run'em.
