Wow, new M5 is quick - being discussed at Nissan Titan Forums in the War Stories section.
I was rejetting the Roadrunner yesterday and decided to take it up the road for a test, I put my 275 60 15's on so I dont tear up my DOT Drag tires.
I saw a new BMW 5 series that I thought I had seen before, so I throttled up and caught him and sure enough it was an M5 that had previously been egging me on in heavy traffic a few months ago.
I didn't go then, since it was wall to wall traffic and he was passing people on the right shoulder. Real D!ck he was being.
Anyway, we are approaching an intersection and I hold my hands up as to ask for a race.
He smiles and we pull to the light, I figure I'll let him get the leave and blow by him. Well, he takes off and I hit it and spin hard and have to backpeddle some, I shortshift to 2nd and he is like 6 cars ahead already, I'm thinking Damn!, but I reel him in fairly quickly in 2nd, spin the radials as I shift to 3rd at about 80 and back it down.
He slowed and turned off and he didn't look too happy, I thought he would catch up and we could check out each others cars, he still seems like a D!ck.
Ahhh, I think the Jetting is righteous on my Dominator Carb!

No replacement for displacement hehe. The dodge 440 has been my favorite v8 ever since I went for a spin in my dads friends 69 super bee 440 six pack. He put a $20 bill on the rear view and told me its mine if I could grab it before hitting 70mph, well I didn't get it, but still couldn't peel the smile of my face. Sounds like you have a mighty fun car there. I think I'd have enough fun just beepin the horn in the road runner lol.
LOL, I removed the horn so it wouldn't get stolen! I guess those are valuable now. I have it sitting on the shelf in the shed, I guess I'll put it back in soon.
The guys sounds like a rich Yuppy snob. Lots of
them south of me in Marin county where the average
home price is about $750K.
Yeah, the ol'e 440 brings back memories. My Junior
and Senior year in high school (1974 and 75) I
had a buddy who had a clean 1970 Charger R/T.
Had the pistol grip 4sp and the 370hp 440ci. We
would cruise every Friday and Saturday night
in that thing. Every kill we would make a mark
on the inside of the windshield with are nervous
oily fingers. Needless to say that windshield had
many marks on it Sunday morning.
