One Shot 2 Kills

Well here is the set up,

I was leaving work and going to get on 696. I am following a 04/05 red HEMI ram quad cab, which is following a 05 black Hemi Durango who is sightseeing and driving like grand ma ma. We go to make the Michigan left as I want to head west, unfortunately I am stuck behind the 2 Dodge owners. The Ram owner is getting impatient with the Durango owner. As we turn on to the surface street (11 mile rd) it opens to three lanes. The Durango owner saunters up to the light in the left lane (closest to the on ramp) the Ram owner jumps to the lane to his right, I know the Ram owner is going to have to get on the throttle hard to cut the Durango off and make it to the on ramp for 696. I take the far right lane.

The light goes green, the ram owner nails it, and the Durango owner knows what he is going to try to do to him, so he it in the game and hard on the throttle. I also nails it, the Ram owner takes the Durango owner, but not by much, maybe 5 feet before he merges in front of him. I am hard on it and pass the Ram owner and take both trucks down before hitting the on ramp in the lead.

The Durango owner gives up and is back to his sauntering self, but the Ram owner is trying to catch the Titan. I stay on the throttle until my malfunctioning speedometer is reading 105 mph and then decide its time to back it down. I opened a good gap on the Ram. 100+feet. He is not a happy camper over the whole ordeal and wont look at me as he comes up beside me. He then proceeds to cut two people off in the right 2 lanes. I guess he’s not a happy HEMI camper anymore.

2 Hemi's for the price of one.

Sure it was a Hemi Durango and not a 4.7L because a QC Hemi Ram won't outrun a Hemi Durango like you described; if at all.

Well lets see here, I work for DCx and live in Detroit. 90% of them that are sold here are HEMIS. and they all have that funny little badging on the front and rear of the trucks. So let me think here..................................Ummmmmmmmmm YEH THEY WERE BOTH HEMIS. I know what one looks like, but thanks for your concern.

Must have sucked for the Durango owner because after getting spanked it's not like he could comfort himself by saying "Oh well my Durango still looks better"

great kill i like hearing about hemi kills, because they are advertized as some awesome truck with 345 hp, but are spanked by a truck that usual costs less, with less horsepower.

smoke,

Like you, I think the HEMI thing has been a HUGE advertising success. But now just about everything Dodge makes has a HEMI or HEMI option, which leads to the water-downed affect Dodge has. And the majority of these HEMI's are not fast...

BTW-I see you have electronic exhaust cutouts-Do you have any pics or better yet, sounds clips to post? Also, which kind did you get-how do you like it...
