Not in the Titan, lol sorry, my dad has moved all our cars around and got rid of the 150 and is wating to get rid of the caddy, well he replaced it with a Porsche 911 cause he loved it.
Well i got to drive it yesterday and i was on my way home when this $hithead in a mercedes comes flying up behind me, well he falshes his lights and honks the horn, the whole time im doing 65(speed limit) in the slow lane cause the cops sure as hell wouldnt give me an brakes in that car. So im like go around but he really catn cause there is quite a bit of traffic in this one little part of the highway. So a$$munch decides he will scare me out of the way and he falls back then punches it and flyes up right behind me almost hitting me then he slams on the brakes and he did that 2 times. Well as i approach my exit the idiot who was causin the hold up must have moved because the lane beside me opened up well he punched it and trys to go around me well i also punch it just for fun. Well we run almost even up and in fact he isactually slowly pulling on me all the way up to about 135 or 140 when the Porsche starts to kind of just barely and i meen barley pull ahead. Well he fails to pass me and almost missed the exit. We ran for a while before the exit actually. Well the next time he gets a chance he pulls up next to me on the feeder and starts flipping me off and crap and i notice on the side of his e class E55 AMG. When i saw that my heart sank cause i sure as hell wasnt gonna race him from the stoplight that we were coming up to, well he sits next to me for a while cussin and fussing and me ignoring him that even making him madder when the light turns green he goes real slow thow suddenly he wasnt in such a hurry.
I was shocked to say the least. They are nice cars thow and damn there fast just not the fastest thing on 4 wheels.
They are indeed fast. I had an E55AMG on my wishlist for a while. They made a new AMG stationwagon that runs like a 12.6 quarter. That is one damn fast grocery getter, it is in one of the last two motortrends. Thats what I call a sleeper...
Ok, let me get this straight, with a regular non turbo 911 you beat an AMG 12 second ride??
Could happen but highly unlikely.
I'm sorry but I see those (edited: PORSCHES) running 14's at our track with good drivers, 15's and 16's with joe blo at the wheel.

I checked that motortrend I as talking about and they published a 12.3 quarter mile out of the AMG stationwagon. It was a head to head of the AMG against the SRT magnum. Cool read.
Ok, let's just end this now, perhaps the driver was playing around, I don't know. This is from AMG's website:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
2003-2006 AMG E55
An automotive milestone, the E55 AMG is the fastest-production sedan in the history of Mercedes-Benz AMG. The first E-Class equipped with a supercharged, 5.5 liter V-8 Kompressor engine capable of producing 469 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque, the E55 AMG blasts through the 0 to 60 sprint in an astonishing 4.5 seconds.1
In addition to these record-setting credentials, the E55 AMG offers Sensotronic brakes, the high-performance braking system featuring 8-piston front calipers with 14" perforated discs.
A performance-oriented interpretation of the already incredible E-Class, the 2006 E55 AMG features 18" AMG-designed wheels and AMG-designed lower bodywork to create an aggressive exterior look.

Ok, so let me edit the post a bit:
"I'm doing 65-75 when a AMG55 comes up behind me, I punch it and he goes around on the left and I tried to stay with him but by the time he let off at around 140, I was only doing around 110 and he was about 30 car lenghts ahead. These cars aren't the fastest thing on wheels but they are alot faster than my Porsche."
There, that's more like it.

I was talking about the Porsches running 14's. Cool post though, what a station wagon! LOL

Ok, I did some checking and stand corrected, I can still type with my foot in my mouth!
I didn't realize that Porsche still made a 911, I didn't realize it was only called a Carrera, thus I though the 911 you were talking about was used.
Anyway there is the 2005 Carrera and the Carrera S model and the "S" is the barn burner, with 355hp and advertized 4.1 second 0-60, 12.6 second quarter mile.
The Carrera base model does 4.3 and 12.8 quarter mile with 325 hp.
I apologize for my confusion. It is very well possible that you kept up with the AMG from a roll or from a standing start and beat him.
I'm going back to my American Muscle Car comfort zone now, sorry.
P.S. That Porsche will do 180 top speed so be careful.

It was from a freeway roll, i wouldnt race him from a stop light. 14's is kinda slow for a quarter mile, maybe thats the boxster.
Wait take that back id run him from a stoplight lol, well i just didnt want to get into a fight with this old man he was really out there.
Those AMG's are sweet thow.

Sorry boy thats an SRT 10 lol. JK.
I saw a 4 door SRT 10 today what kinda performance do one of those put out???
The SRT10 shouldn't be able to keep up with you if you have a new Porsche.
The SRT10 only runs low 13's according to mags.
I'm surprised that you haven't noticed the acceleration, it should feel alot different than what you have experienced before, I mean 12.8 seconds is moving.
Is it a new Carrera or Carrera S?

The new or old caddy,
The old one is like a limo and its fast just not anywhere near as fast.
The new is awesome and its actually fast lol but again not as fast just much more comfortable than the porsche. Were changing cars around again thow and the F-150 is gone and the STS is leaving too, its going in for a cls 500.
If i had to get another truck thow dang i would want the 4 door dodge srt holy crap those are so dang good looking. Maybe not the fastest but plenty fast and plenty of room.
