Good news, went 117.25, bad news, dead battery!

Well, sort of a bummer day at the track, went out in the first round of eliminations so we have a duck race (all 1st and 2nd round losers eligible for $20) that I entered and I was doing great, it got down to the final 4 and DOH!!! the battery was dead! Dang WalMart Batteries!
But the car ran in the 11.50's all night and new best MPH is 117.25, yes I am pleased , so that was the last points race, now on to the division 7 finals and the Thanksgiving B&M racers appreciation 3 day extravaganza!

Happy Season everyone! :

Do you run an altenator or do you just charge the battery between rounds? Congrats on the new best mph.

I run an alternator, but I haven't been charging between rounds, and I have been leaving the water pump and fan on. The fan is on a 160F switch but the pump is not. I need to start charging between rounds!
