Mustang 5.0

I must have please race me stamped on my forehead. Two days in the last week I've been sneak attacked by Mustang 5.0's, both times from a rolling start & both time "lost" by a truck length. I think by the sound of the exaust, both cars must have had at least minor mod's. I would'nt even call it a race really because both times they just kinda took-off, and I played catch-up I was'nt even planning to race. I guess they get a thrill outa racing a basically stock 1/2 CC truck with 35 in tires and a lift.

Re: Mustang 5.0

I know what you're talking, these younger punks in their basically stock 5.0's give me the go almost all the time while im patrolling the streets in my notchback, little do they know that under the hood sits a naturally aspirated 347 stroker that puts out over 500hp to the crank and if that doesnt do the trick a 175 shot of NOS is available with a flip of a switch, i have however raced a 1994+ mustang GT 5 speed and was dead even with him, he had a full exhaust and intake from what the guy said after he was amazed that he couldnt beat me, those GT's run a 15.0 - 15.4 1/4 mile not bad i guess.

Re: Mustang 5.0

my guess is they think since you got a lift and 35s.that you wont want to race.i think you should go and put a 200 shot in you titan and shock em all.

chepdog,

That's one sweet looking Mustang. I know it may be hard to do, but could you someday post how it sounds-I'd love to hear it. I just saw a '93 5.0 LX, black for sale around here. They were asking 3K for it, and it was CLEAN! Not a ding, knick or scratch anywhere. It sold FAST!

BTW-When you say you raced a '95 GT, I'm assuming you mean with the Titan, right...I would hope your Stang would eat a '94 mostly stock, alive...
