Mud Bogs, Tough Trails, Desert Races, etc.

I see all these post about the races at the stoplight, but hey these are trucks not hotrods. I want to see some post of people actually doing truck stuff better than the competition. I've had my share of fast cars that would smoke the titan, but I wouldn't take them offroad or tow a trailer with them.

Re: Mud Bogs, Tough Trails, Desert Races, etc.

Towed a load of topsoil for a buddy to his house this past Thursday.
Trailer=3,000lbs. Load=1,970lbs. Total=4,970lbs.

Tow distance = 25 miles. Titan did not even break a sweat. Smooooth.
Did not notice trailer's presence at all when moving.

This is a great truck. People always ask me about it...even at traffic lights.

Wes

Re: Mud Bogs, Tough Trails, Desert Races, etc.

5 mesquite trees from Tx to VA
2 walnut trees 40 miles
1500 bft persimmon in the truck, 3000 bft walnut/cherry/persimmon on trailer

Not a problem with any of it. I also had to pull my friends truck attached to a cherry tree accross the stream and into the field when he got stuck trying to get a tree. Why doesn't everyone talk about that? Not everyone purchased a truck to use as a truck. If it does not have a dent, it is not used as a truck!

Re: Mud Bogs, Tough Trails, Desert Races, etc.

Pulled my dad's 21 foot ranger bass boat fully loaded on a 80 mile round trip, through hilly and curvy roads with a 55 mph speed limit.
Boat hull weight-1900 lbs
250hp Yamaha - 540lbs
3 24volt batteries - 150 lbs (estimate)
Dual Axle trailer - 1000 lbs (estimate)
Fishing gear (trolling motor, tackle, rods, etc.) - 300lbs (estimate)
50 gallons of fuel - 400lbs
Total weight - 4300 lbs (not including weight of oil reservoir and full on board ice chest; or additional electronics, seats, etc.)

Had plenty of pulling power..actually passed someone between curves going uphill because they were driving 40 in a 55. Drove like a dream. Held steady at 55 mph and didnt miss a beat. Only had to downshift once on a pretty steep incline. I was very happy with the Titan's performance.

Re: Mud Bogs, Tough Trails, Desert Races, etc.

My longest tow trip was from VA to Glamis (socal) towing a 21' enclosed trailer loaded with 4 quads, fuel, parts, camping gear, etc. Estimate the trailer at 6000+ and the back of the truck was loaded down too. Got pulled in Arizona running 83 mph, so the truck obviously pulled it fine.

this thing takes all of my friends to the snow and back without breaking a sweat. Also 115 in the rain against some dodge ram hemi wasnt a problem either. Dude if your trucks go balls most people will go fast in it and yes it is a hot rod so there.
