I was trying to merge to an on-ramp yesterday and was about even with an H2. About then I heard BLLAAATTT!!! I looked around thinking I had a ricer in my blind spot, when I realized the H2 wanted to run. Too much traffic, but luckily he was taking my ramp. I swung in behind planning to pounce when we hit I-20. That's when I noticed something wrong.
He had an aftermarket rear bumper with turns and brake lights built in. Whoever installed his bumper crossed the wiring, when his right turn on the H2 blinked the left light in the bumper blinked! I laughed so hard I almost didn't smoke him at the end of the ramp. Also his exhaust system literally sounded like rice. His tips looked like he shoved 2 trumpets in the end. A few miles later he passed me, when he cut over his blinkers worked the opposite. Some people are just clueless.
H2 = (in the words of the japenese guys on southpark...chimpokeman) very schmal penis!.

Local guy has his H2 at Schexnayder Racing It only has 5000 miles on it and he was so disgusted with acceleration he just spent $7000 on an STS Turbo kit for it. Price is so high because he got all the extras and upgraded to the bigger turbo. Well during the tuning process the owner decided to have to set it to 15psi boost and decided to go try it out like that even after they warned him it would break the motor. Well shortly after he burnt a piston. Now he decided instead of just repairing the motor he his ordering pistons, rods, crank, and camshaft that can handle 15psi of boost. Also ordered a Yank 2600 converter for the H2. Once it's complete there will be video posted on the Schexnayder Racing website. I'm sure it will be something to see a big heavy brick of a SUV go fast.
If he has that much money he should ditch the POS H2 and buy a new H1 with the Duramax in it. With the aftermarket on the Duramax he could easily surpass the H2 modded to the max.

That's a good question, my guess is that he likes the H2 and just wanted more power. Personally I would rather have the orginal hummer with a heavily modded diesel engine (much fun offroading).
H2's are such crap...nothing more than an overweight, underpowered, tahoe, with 8-lug axles, and BFG AT's. Probably 95% sold will end up lowered with 26 inch rims.
The H1's kick a$$ though, a true off-road machine. And the H3's are actually nice offroad, more like a Jeep. A friend of mine has one, and it has a locker and a ton of ground clearance, really nice off-road, just not enough power on-road in my opinion with that I-5 engine.
