I knew someone was gonna say that.. So here's the scoop... My neighbor has an 03 same every mod as mine at that time.. And we have ran the two truck's about 20 times.. and the results where... I would beat him by about one length he would be at my back fender... On the other hand if he put it in 4wd high he could get me and keep me there.. the whole 1/4 mile ... I even offed The Titan on here to run a 4wd.. I was gonna borrow my neighbors truck.. And the offer still stands.. I guess that's why the 2wd SS silverado is slower that the AWD.. No traction

Just imagin if we were lighter.. That would be nice.. I ran a 14.4 with a couple free mod's.. If I had 500 LBS less this would have been a 13 sec truck with free mods

That's a good time. Wish someone would give me some FREE mods. So you are saying that that your neighbors truck runs faster than a 14.4!!! I would sure like to know what free mods you are running as would 1000's of other Hemi owners. I bet that are over 10,000 Hemi QC 4x4 owners that would pay BIG money to run faster than 14.4.

I might believe that your 2wd on a good day might run that quick. But I have my doubts about a 4x4 running that quick as would plenty of other members here also.

You raised some good points there. TRACTION. You get a 1/2 a lenth jump and you pull the whole 1/4 mile. Do you have any timeslips from the 4x4 Hemi? So what time did the Titan run?

Like I have stated in other posts not all motors run the same even with the same mods. I know there are some good running motors out there. Just not the 2 I ran.

Well that time slip was from last summer.. I'm alot faster than that now By over 2 seconds.. And I cant get my neighbor to the track.. But he would let me take it if I wanted.. but I'd rather play with my truck.. When I ran the Titan it was on the streets of Detroit.. So there isn't any time slips.. LOL .. And yes no engine runs the same for sure..

Forgive me, I am a little slow. You guys are running NO2 shots. Just figured that out. Wouldn't hurt to run synthetics, for sure in the tranny.

The first slip is N/A and a couple of free mods.. and the second is N20.. from the same day.. I just use what DC put in the tranny.. That's it.. I do run Mobile 1 in the engine though.. About a Qt low though.. Less resistance on the crank..

Now you have me curious about your truck.
What all do you have as far as mods go?
What are these FREE mods?? My best
Gtech times are about a 14.38 for the 1/4
mile. The average I show includes runs
where I had wheel spin. I normally spin
very little (a chirp) or not at all. About the
only free mods that I can think of is
some sort of a ram-air setup and maybe a
relocated IAT sensor. Oh, and some weight
reduction. Did you see the information that
showed the Hemi gained 3-4 hp just from
running the oil at the bottom of the safe zone?
I run mine at 6.5 qrts. The book says 7 qrts.

My free mod's include.. TMR mod, Spark plug wire mod, Iat mod, Move the cold air sensor, Gut the cat, lighten the truck, shorten the exhaust, Lower oil levels, Take out middle rear leaf spring.. lets weight transfer better, Remove front swaybar, And I have a few Drag racing secrets.. That I'm not willing to share.. You should take your truck to the track.. and forget about a Gtech.. Do you have stock 20's If so get rid of them.. With the wheelz I have on my truck I shaved 4 tenth's off my 1/4 mile time.. And I consider that a free mod too.. Because someone stoled my stock 20's and I got a set of free ones... LOL

Yes, I am running the stock heavy 20's. So
your a 03 Hemi Ram? The Superchips for
the 04-05 guys is knocking off 1/2 second
from 0-60 and 1/4 mile times. I am seeing
closer to 6/10ths with just the 87 octane
tune. These numbers have been verified by
others on a track as well. My Gtech numbers
are extremely close to what track numbers
would be. I will be running my truck at
Infinion Raceway within the next month or
two. My times right now are right on
par with other RCSB 04-05 Hemi Ram's with
similar mods. And I am talking about their
track times. The IAT mod is not needed
for my truck. I am already runnning to
rich with a A/F of 11.8 average. Would like
to get that up to high 12's. I know if I
would go with some light weight 17's
with 31" rubber I could get down very
close to a flat 14 1/4 mile. Don't really
want to do that though as my truck is
not dropped.

HD574,

Good to see you around again.

Didn't you also add the 6.1L cam?
