those great numbers MOST still can't get into the 14's.
Guys who show (KC's included) lower dyno numbers (say

this??? My truck dyno'd 266/292 with Superchips programmer
set at 91 octane tuning. Also, with all the mods I list in
my sig. That means bone stock my dyno numbers were
a little less ( the Superchips has been a let down as far
as HP and TRQ go) than 266/292. Yet, a 15.1 is fairly
easy for my truck stock. So here is the question. Why
can't Titan's with these super high dyno numbers do
any better than a 14.9 to 15.0??? Some of these KC guys
are showing 25 more HP and 60 ft/lbs of torque more than
me. But can only muster a 15.0 to 15.3 on average. Why??
driving has alot to do with it imo. I have a buddy with a regular cab rumble bee with intake exhaust he said more but I forget. anyway, our track is at sea level he runs 16-17's at the track. stock 20" rims I think, I know they're stock chrome dodge rims. I never raced my truck so I really don't know how they compare. I've done a couple stop light things, but never with someone who kept up or knew we were racing, I've never lined up with anything worthwhile anyway... I got the titan hoping to see the lincoln aviator that ate me once with my frontier... still hope to see him someday after I clean my aFe filter and put it back on . maybe more mods once money allows. can't wait til the trutrac gets back I sent it back to get the right one . rumble bee has the 5.7 hemi incase you were wondering lol j/k but yeah, my buddy told me he runs 16's or 17s, but another buddy of mine had a modded jetta 1.8T with turbo upgrade and crap and told me he ran 17's also. and was pissed gonna take the rigs there one day I suppose and see what I run.

Re: Titan vs older Dodge Rams

Tranny is holding up great actually...345rwhp/360rwtq all day and no problems...then about 460rwhp/580rwtq when I flip the switch and everything is running strong. I dint mean for my last comment to start a fight, but if you cant get a stock hemi to run quicker than a 16sec 1/4 mile, then that person has to have some serious issues as a driver or just some serious traction issues.

Re: Titan vs older Dodge Rams

Well, I did race an older (2001, I think??) Dodge ram Sport w/ the 5.9. It also had headers, dual exhasut, CAI, wiremod and something else that I can't remember right now. And I still beat it. The first run, I screwed up on the take off and almost lost, but the second run left no doubt.
Times have changed though even in four or five years. Weird to say, but in 2000, a 245 or 275hp truck was good, now, it gets you laughed at-go figure...

I've only seen a two Reg Cab Hemi's run at the track, and neither broke a 15.0 second 1/4 mile. I'm assuming they were both stock. As a matter of fact, the one ran that 3 runs in a row, and the other ran 15.5 and 15.0. Maybe it was the driver's-maybe the track, I don't know...

Maybe it was the gears as well. Could have been 3.55's
or 3.92's with an open differential. What was the weather?
Hot, warm, cold? Lot's of factors that need to be questioned.
All of the magazine articles I have read regarding a RCSB
Hemi Ram w/ 3.92 LS and 20's have it running 15.0 to 15.1
bone stock. Throw a set of 31.5" inch 17's on and high
14's would be easy. I have seen bone stock QC's run
15.5's. Or slightly better.

Re: Titan vs older Dodge Rams

True...It was warm and humid, so that coulda been a factor.

Being from Missouri, the Show-Me State, I'd have to see a bone stock QC run better than a 15.5. I've had some fun with a few, and I can't imagine I'm running a 15.5 and I got a lead both times and didn't give it up. I still feel once any weight is added to the Ram, it really starts to fall flat, which is why there's a large difference between the RC and QC in perfromance.

I know Ram4Pick (Jim) was running around 15.3 with
Airaid MIT, drop-in filter and high flow muffler. May
have even been high 15.2's. Here is what his QC
does now.

http://www.dodgetalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=96784

Like I said Buzz. Some of the Rams you run into migh
be sporting 3.55 gears. I had a set of Yukon 4.56's
in my hands but got cold feet and ended up selling them.
To concerend with warranty issues and running aftermarket
gears.

Re: Titan vs older Dodge Rams

One in a million...

I find it funny though. Some Dodge owners claim to run 14.7's, 15.1's on stock RC and QC's. If that's true, that shows the inconsistency in the product (the Hemi) that Dodge is producing.

BTW-14.7 with a tuner is not fast.

You know what is funny like this.. 2 weekend's ago.. we had a DTW meet at Milan.. and all or dodges even a modded 5.9 was there... we all ran under a 15 or better.. I think 15.1 was the highest and he was a 4x4 QC... And there was a Titan there and we all watched him run... His best was a 16.2.. I talked to him he was stagged behind me at one time.. So I'm saying it has to be the driver...Becouse If I would have drove his truck... I'm pretty sure I could have done alittle better than that...

Every make has it's factory freaks. Some are below...and
some are above the average curve. I don't think it's
a product consistency issue. I think it's all the different
factors that come into play. Vehicle variances, track variances,
weather variances, altitude variances. The list goes on and
on.
