Titan vs Dodge 2500 Cummins

Well I had my first get'm and go today. He pulls up next to me at a stop light, and starts to rev up his engine. I had my window down, and he yells over, do you think the Japs can beat the Americans. I just laughed and said lets see. So the light turns and we get at it. I had trouble with some traction, and he started to pull on me for a second, but once I got down the traction and the SC kicked it, I started to walk him like it was nothing. By the end I was about 2-3 trucks ahead of him, then I slowed down. At the next light, he looks at me, with this look of WTF, and asked me what is all that noise coming from your engine. He was talking about the SC whine. I just laughed and said something the crazy japs., but in there. He just kind of laughs and says good one. I gave him the thumbs up and moved on. This was my first race in the Titan so 1 for the Titan and 0 for the competition.

A better response for the "You think Japs can beat americans" Would have been " Nope but I think they can beat the Mexicans!!!!" BAAAAAAA Awsome kill. I can only sit here and live Vicariously through you !!!! If I had a extra 7 grand it would have to go to the kids schooling!!

It was a Cummins, and they are turbo'd. Not too hard to pull a ton of power with just a simple programmer.

Re: Titan vs Dodge 2500 Cummins

A simple power programmer turns them things into monsters!!! If you had not had your SC..and he is programmed.....the results would have been reversed...

The way it sounds....he was programmed....and was just shocked cause he thought he was about ready to whip on a Titan and got his arse whipped!!

One of the best kills yet!!!!

Re: Titan vs Dodge 2500 Cummins

So many variables here. Was it a 2nd gen Ram
with a CTD or was it the newer CTD 600? They
came with so many different HP/TRQ ratings.

Re: Titan vs Dodge 2500 Cummins

My brain must be numb today. You are a
S/C Titan? If so, I would say he was
chipped. I ran against a chipped PowerStroke
Ford about two weeks ago. He was lifted
(probably a 4X4) and he jumped on it in
front me. I am pretty sure he was chipped
because of the huge blast of black smoke
when he nailed it. That was my cue so I
nailed it. I got up on his bumper at a rate
of at least 5 mph. We were doing around
70mph or so. They might be chipped but
if they are running huge tires they can be had.
