06 Mustang Gt VS Titan

Comming home from night classes and lined up with a brand new blue Mustang GT. I didnt rev at him or anything, just floored it when it turned green and he got the idea. I was a car lenght ahead of him before he knew i was trying to race him. He was behind me enough to see my bumper, up to 80MPH, i see in my mirror that he is slowly pulling on me. He got me top end. I thought those things should be faster, i guess hes not a good driver. lol

now for the re-enactment...guy in mustang GT is flipping through CD case paying no attention to the light...titan takes off hard, guy puts down CD case, puts car in 1st gear, then takes off, realizes the titan is still on it, slams the gas pedal, sucks the titan into intake and blows it out the exhaust..

Truthfully, the mustang either wasn't racing or was just toying with you. THe new GT is good for a mid-high 13 sec 1/4.. That's 1.5 seconds faster than you..very noticeable difference.

They are faster but not as much as you might think. I have lost 1-2 real close matches where they did the sneak attack!

They're only good for a 13.9 second 1/4 mile, which ain't shobby.

But I doubt it was the V-6, those things run about the same time as a Titan. And if the Titan had a decent lead, it would be hard for a 6 cyl. Mustang to make up that much ground quickly.

I got paired up with a 06' mustang at the track this weekend, this guy was bone stock, yes he let me see his motor, and odometer he had 587 miles on his car.. here is what he ran vs. me

Kind of interesting numbers their! It looks like
for the first 300 ft or so you hanged kind of
tight. That 1/8 mile mark he really shows that
he is taking charge.
