Was coming back from the airport today in Jacksonville, heading up the I-95 towards Savannah, GA and had a Chrysler pull up beside me and wanna race. We started at about 70 and I managed to get about half a car length as i hit 114 and let off before the governer switched on. Was pretty fun wish we had, had more road though to do it on there was barely any traffic.
A kill's a kill I guess. Nice job. Not to tarnish your moment, but remember, that car only has a 250 HP V6 and a 10.3 second 0-60 time. So, basically, that guy's a fool who thinks ALL trucks are slow. Granted the car's HP-to-weight ratio is better than our Titans' but the "Oomph" just isn't there. However, the speed governor is higher than ours, so if there were more road, you most likely would have gotten eaten, let alone if you had any curves to deal with. Coming from owning one, I can tell you, that car is an awesome cruiser that can handle the twisties with the best of them - and do it in the plushest comfort you're ever going to see! Straightline, maybe not. But everywhere else, absolutely!
I don't know a whole lot about the 300M, but my partner owned one (traded it in for a new 300C). I had ridden in that car a good bit. While the M is certainly slow in comparison to the C, it's a bit more peppy that 10 second 0-60.
Car and Driver got 0-60 in the 7's and quarter mile at 15.9. Here is the review:
The Titan tested took 12.4 seconds to go from 60 to 100. The 300 M took just a tick more than a second longer at 13.4 seconds.
The Titan would win up to when it hit the speed limiter, but the account in the original post here seems plausable.

Good info. Just for comparison, the last timeslip from my Camaro in the 1/8 was 101mph at 6.8 seconds, thats fun!
It's all relative though, usually I'm in my 87 Nissan 4 banger PU and am getting blown away by Titans and most everything else on the road, LOL.

My boss just bought the 300 with the hemi, and he says it is a little faster than his Evo. He said the evo will beat if right off the line, because of the all wheel drive, but the 300 will catch if after that.
