yep, long freeway entrance (thanks california!) and myself and a 350 were at a go. i got him by half a car length and then the show was over he proceeded to walk me like a three legged dog. by a 1/4 mile he was 3-4 car lengths in front and at that point we were at freeway speed so that was it but.....hey death to a sports car ain't bad when in gooooooes like that!

but it is frustrating to watch those tailights move away from you!!!!

does anyone out there own both a T and a 350 that could comment on this?

ps--does anyone know anything good or bad about g35's? been lookin at one lately for the wifey!

My sister has a G35 sedan on some 19's. Its a real nice car. Engine/tranny is like butter. Love the way the stock exhaust growls. I say get it for the wifey. She wont be dissappointed. One more thing...the car is very quick.

I've raced my friends g35 a few times. I can get him off the line most of the times up to 60mph and then he starts pulling away pretty good. If we start at around 60mph then it isn't even close.

I assume you mean a 350Z and not a Honda 350......

I traded my Titan for a Z roadster, and the first thing I noticed was the difference in torque that you feel when you step on it. The Titan felt stronger, but this does not translate into how fast you are actually going.

I don't usually race, but last night two young punks in some sort of Mitsubishi with a huge aluminum spoiler on the back got in the left lane beside me as I was coming up on a tractor trailer. Instead of going on so that I could move over in the left lane, they kept their speed even with mine, and proceeded to rev their engine as they were going along beside me.

They eventually passed the truck, and when they got further down the interstate, they slowed down until I passed them up. When I came up behind another car in the left lane, they swung in behind me to ride my bumper.

When the car in front of me moved to the right lane, I couldn't resist dropping it down into fifth gear and winding her out....by the time the speedometer had gone past 120.....I looked back, and the punks were at least 1/4 mile behind. I slowed down, but they didn't try passing me after that.

I've had a lot of experiences with g35's (stupid dam warranty work!!) and those things haul ***. I once raced a m3 cabrio(top down) in a 05 G35 with aero kit. I drafted and passed his *** at bout' 140. If you're thinking about buying a 06', dont you will lose serious money on it. good try racing aginst the 350,my mommy had a g35, it pulled pretty hard.but now she has the mmaxima 6 speed it will take off the line and all the way up to 114.

This 1st death was a suicide by choice: Early Sat. morning i was on the road when i saw a lightning coming up behind me on my way to my fishing hole, so i said what the heck, i hammered my `04 LE CC 4x4 to the floor. I know he heard the flowmasters kick because his windows were down and he was about 1/8 of a mile or less behind me. I could see him gaining on me slow but sure, but as he got closer to me another car was in his lane as he caught me and he had to brake and get behind me to pass the other car. At this time i was doing about 100mph and the road had a sharp curve just ahead so i slowed a bit and he passed me only to hit his brakes for a red light just ahead. I pulled up beside him and held up both hands and told him that i didn`t want any.. He was a nice guy and started to tell me how nice my truck looked and that the titans would run pretty good. I told him it runs good but nothing like a lighting.. At that time the light changed while we were talking and a escalade behind us layed on the horn and we looked at each other and nailed it at the same time.. The caddy had his window down so i know he got an ear full of rubber and duel exhaust, he disappeared real fast in our mirrors.. The lightning pulled away pretty quick but not as fast as i thought he would, the mighty titan held its own considering the weight differance.. I got behind him and he gave me thumbs up at the next light..He got on the interstate that i was getting on and when the coast was clear we nailed it again, and he was pulling away again but not as fast as i thought from all the hipe i have heard about those trucks.. Don`t know if the lightning trucks shut down at a certain speed but at 110mph the ford slowed and i passed him and kept pulling away. I hit 125mph and he was way behind me like 1/2 a mile or so and kept fading which gave me a boner...It was real early in the morning so there was only like 2 or 3 cars on the road which is the only reason we could run them like that..I am not a motorhead but i am the 2nd owner of the truck and it was the service managers truck at the dealership where i bought it from and they told me it had a few extras on it that was not stock.. I assumed they where talking about the visible stuff i could see on the exterior, but since i got a computer and started getting on TT i know there is more to it than what i can see.. I`ve been up to 130mph and still going and got scared.. All i can say is lucky me. My truck weighs 5850 lbs with a 1/2 tank of gas and my fat azz in the seat according to the scales at Tn. truck stops.. Don`t know what a lightning weighs but i am sure it is a lot less than mine.

oh, i wasn't under any impression that i would win, just a fun opportunity to open er up and see what would happen with a decent road car. so, anyway no delusions of grandure but its nice to have a truck that even stock can 'get up'!! i have driven and owned many faster road cars than the titan but i have never driven a vehicle that makes me GLAD i'm driving it as much as the T.

Don`t get me wrong, i have done the same thing with small cars and got spanked pretty good, but it was still fun to open her up and try to see if the titan could keep up.. It`s all good as long as no one gets hurt! Keep trying you never know.....

I just love to see the look on there face when they get beat by a big 4x4 CC!!!!

I have both. A '05 titan se kc, and a '06 350z. The Z is much quicker, but the titan can hold it's own. They are two totally different types of vehicles, so really hard to compare, but with the z's 300 horse, and a weight around 3000 pds, it flies. I have intake and exhaust on both. The titan sounds way more awesome with the nismo intake, and it has a ton more torque, that coming from my butt dyno! I love them both, my wife and i switch off driving them daily. I would say I have the best of both worlds!

WHOA, when i first read your post, I thought you were refering to a Silverado 1500 with a 350ci v8. It made more sense when i realized you meant the 350Z. Nice try against him though, I tried to race a Corvette in my Dakota just for kicks...I feel your pain...lol
