Titan wins by a nose

Hey guys the run's were done. And here is the outcome.

First I'm surprised as to how they ran and it went against what I thought about the Hemi and Endurance. I would take the launch everytime. Then he'd come back a little when he would hit 2nd gear. It's impressive to see that thing lurch when he's next to me with Torque Management disables. Then when I got into the higher RPMs I would again begine to pull. All runs he was at my door.

I need a LSD BAD! Each take off I would spin 6-10 ft before hooking up. One wheel peels suck!! And this is with 305/60/18's.

So the Titan is victorious.

Again a run down on the trucks.

Titan KC SE NON Big Tow, Exhaust, CAI, and Timing Advance.

Hemi CC 2500 17 inch wheels, Superchips, Exhaust, and CAI.

It's easy for me to say that maybe I could pull a couple tenths more on him if I could get rid of the spin....but that didn't happen. We talked about maybe getting to a track in Sacramento and get a bunch of other guys to go out and just have some fun.

This guy is a class act guy and I had a lot of fun. Funny...I get nervous as hell just before I run. On one run I floored it and it started to spin so I lifted a little and that was bad. I got better runs just letting it spin.

Re: Titan wins by a nose

Good kill. I always get better G-tech runs when I spin a little. If it doesnt spin I just let up because I know it wont be a good run. It allows the rpms to get up to the power range better IMO. I think with the gas prices the way they are now my raceing days are over for awhile.

Re: Titan wins by a nose

You should see that thing shift into second....it lurches big time. Makes you realize how much Torque Management holds you back. He would begin to pull on me when he shifted...then as the RPM's went up I began to pull him again.

Re: Titan wins by a nose

I don't doubt that....cause I sure didn't like loosing the first race in August I think it was with my 22's on. And I lost that race pretty badly!!!

It's his choice to post at his club if he wants...when he won it was on there instantly...he still hasn't posted about loosing to a Titan.

He did have a HD 2500. But with 17's instead of 20's and a programmer. I think the programmer brings the weight difference pretty even. Now if we could get a programmer...I could put a lenth or two on him.

Think some traction bars might help?

To be honest with you The Super chip does absolutely nothing when the Torque management is pulled... I swear by this... I had a super chip and TQ management pulled and actually lost power... I think the SC is a waste of money for the 03...

Re: Titan wins by a nose

The TQ management mod was impressive to actually see. I was pulling then we shifted and his truck lurched big time...I was no longer pulling but he was coming back up to almost even....then slowly I started pulling again. I say he was about at my rear tire when it was all said and done. It was a blast though.

He smoked me the first race in August!! I had 22's...he took me by about 1 ...1 1/2 truck lengths behind him. So I canned the 22's and the only different mod that I have is I got my dealer to advance my timing 2 degrees.

So those of you that want performance....I went from loosing by a few tenths to winning by a tenth or two.

Re: Titan wins by a nose

I had to let everyone know about an encounter with a ferd lighting-(fast trucks) The guy driving the truck was complementing my truck while sitting at a red light and someone blowed there horn, because the light turned green, we both hit the gas at the same time and made a lot of noise with my duel exhaust and all the rubber burning from both trucks.. The escalade behind us disappeared real fast.. The lightning got me of course but not by as much as i thought he would, the mighty titan did real good.. Just so happened he got on the interstate going the same way.. We both kicked it again and he was pulling away but not as much as you would think.. Don`t know if the lightning has shut off at 110mph but i passed him doing 115mph and he could not catch me or he got scared and let off.. Still made my day to see him in my rearview mirror.. This was early morning with hardly any traffic so it was safe and fun!!! Pretty good for a 4x4 CC LE with all the extras. Just wanted to share that with you guys..
